There is one month left of Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer and Bungie has begun to offer a glimpse into what players can expect for the next season. One of the biggest changes coming to Destiny 2’s Season 15 is cross play. Guardians across Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Stadia will finally be able to play with one another. Players have been traditionally identified in Destiny 2 by their gamer tags which are created through one’s chosen platform. For example, PC players create their gamer tag, and therefore their name in Destiny, through Steam. However, this will not be possible once cross play is enabled. This is because cross save will also be enabled and Bungie does not want... Read more...

While there is plenty of content and activities left in the season, many players have begun to wonder what the next season will bring. Destiny 2 players are likely familiar with the game’s annual events. Events such as the Dawning, Guardian Games, and Solstice of Heroes offer new challenges and loot each year. The purpose of these events is to engage the player base. However, many players are indifferent or burnt out on these repetitive events. This was especially evident in the Destiny 2 community’s lack of interest in completing the Dawning quests. What can Bungie do to engage players? Here is what we think are the current issues with Destiny 2 annual events and how we think they could be improved. The Solstice of Heroes offers a prime example.  Destiny 2 Loot And Activities Need To Be Worth The Grind What... Read more...

Are you a fan of Destiny lore? Do you love storytelling? Then we have a job for you! Bungie is currently hiring a “Destiny Historian” to help catalog and maintain their ever-growing Destiny universe narrative. The responsibilities of the Destiny Historian are quite extensive. One of the main responsibilities of the Historian is to review scripts and work with writers and others to maintain narrative consistency. This is no small task given the size of the Destiny universe. The Historian will also be expected to produce content for internal developers and external vendors, work “with production to manage schedules,” aid marketing, “establish style guides and specs... This week’s Destiny 2 “Path of the Splicer” quest helped to move the plot of the season along. It was revealed this past week that Quria, the Dreaming Mind, is the one responsible for creating the Endless Night that is plaguing the Last City. However, there was another major plot twist that we believe deserves some consideration. Here is our theory about the upcoming plot of Destiny 2’s Season of Splicer. **WARNING: Major Spoilers Ahead** Quira is a commander under Savathûn, the Witch-Queen. The Endless Night is therefore part of Savathûn’s schemes. A lore entry also divulged that Savathûn is disguised as a human being and is present somewhere in... Read more...
Everything old is new again. The Destiny 2 Vault of Glass (VOG) raid officially launches on Saturday, May 22nd. Here is everything you need to know to prep for the Vault of Glass raid. What We Know About the Vault of Glass Raid Vault of Glass (VOG) was the first raid that was available in Destiny. Bungie has noted that it did not want to “evolve this raid into something completely new” and it should have a familiar feel to the original raid. Nevertheless, they have also stated that VOG will not be exactly the same as it was before. Destiny veterans may therefore have a bit of an edge over newer players, but they should expect some changes. For example, we anticipate that there will... Read more...

The Destiny 2 2021 Guardian Games have arrived. No Destiny 2 event would truly be complete without a few legendary and exotic items for Guardians to chase after or purchase. Here is how you can acquire the exotic machine gun Heir Apparent and its Catalyst. What Is Heir Apparent And Its Catalyst Heir Apparent is an exotic machine gun with two main perks. Heavy Slug Thrower requires players to spin up the weapon by clicking down on the aim button. Once fired up, the machine gun will shower your enemies with bullets. The second perk is Armor of the Colossus. It grants the user an arc shield if the weapon was spun up while the Guardian was at full health. The Catalyst of course allows the weapon... Read more...

Today officially marks the last week of Destiny 2’s Season of the Hunt. Bungie has so far released little information about the upcoming season, but the internet naturally has a different plan. It was recently leaked that the next Destiny 2 season will be dubbed the “Season of the Chosen” and will be focused on the Cabal. The leak comes from a now-deleted tweet from Game Informer. The tweet featured Commander Zavala standing on what appears to be Nessus. Caiatl, the daughter of former Cabal Emperor Calus, looms over Zavala. A mysterious ship appears to have crashed nearby Zavala. This leak matches many of the hints that have been dropped by Bungie over the last few months. A... Read more...
Destiny 2: Beyond Light has been almost solely focused on the newest location of Europa. The Season of the Hunt has taken Guardians to the Tangled Shores and Dreaming City, but most activities on older locations have been neglected by players. Additionally, much of the gear that was issued in previous seasons will sunset in upcoming seasons. This system has therefore not provided Guardians with much incentive to engage with older content. Destiny 2 developers Bungie are thankfully making a few changes to make outdated gear and activities relevant again. Destiny 2 will soon reissue the Dreaming City's Reverie Dawn armor, Moon’s Dreambane armor, and a total of eight weapons. Season 13 will... Read more...
It is the holiday season which means that seasonal video game events abound. Destiny 2 is no exception and players have been grinding through the Dawning 2020 event. Unfortunately, progress for this event has been quite slow. Destiny 2 developer Bungie has therefore tripled Dawning Spirit rewards for the community “Share the Dawning Spirit” quest. The Dawning 2020 event is similar to previous Destiny 2 holiday events. Players must use Eva Levante’s oven to bake cookies for NPCs. There are two Dawning quest lines this year-- “Share the Dawning Spirit” and “And To All a Good Flight.” “And To All a Good Flight” is an individual quest which rewards... Read more...
Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion introduced something entirely new to the game -- a darkness subclass dubbed Stasis. Stasis is particularly different from the Light-based subclasses in that it can be customized through Fragments and Aspects. Beyond Light has introduced a handful of Aspects and Fragments, but Bungie has confirmed that they plan to add even more.  Luke Smith from Bungie recently stated in an interview that “Our intention is to add more.” He further noted that several Aspects and Fragments will be released over the next year. Players thankfully do not need to wait until the Witch Queen expansion to get their hands on these Aspects and Fragments. Smith further... Read more...
In case you don't already pick up on it, we're pretty big fans of Bungie's Destiny 2, and have posted a number of guides over the past few weeks specifically relating to Beyond Light. Today, however, Bungie has released its latest patch for the game -- labeled as Hotfix 3.0.1.2 -- that addresses a number of outstanding issues with the game. The hotfix also makes some adjustments to in-game weapons to help with gameplay balance. With respect to the Cryptolith Lure, players now have the ability to charge it twice as fast as before, which is critical to initiating a Wrathborn Hunt. In addition, it is now capable of storing five charges, which is an increase from the previous maximum capacity... Read more...
