It's an old joke that every new Call of Duty game is just like the last, but if you say that about Black Ops 4 (or "IV"), chances are you're not actually paying attention. This game marks a major departure for the series, in that there is no focus on a single-player campaign (though solo elements still exist). Instead, the game's developer pads the mainstay multi-player modes with Call of Duty's first take on the Battle Royale genre. Like that old Call of Duty joke, it's also become somewhat comical that nearly all game developers now want  to integrate Battle Royale into their games. Who... Read more...

Since that time, the game has added two new maps, alternating modes, and more aesthetic enhancements than you can shake a frying pan at. Unfortunately for developer PUBG Corporation, the game has been on the decline ever since the start of the year, despite the team rolling out of the new maps and mechanics. The website Steam Charts shows that... Read more...
Epic Games has gone official with all the details of the V4.2 content update and it brings something that fans have been clamoring for: jetpacks. Jetpacks are part of a new item type coming to Battle Royale called Backpacks, not to be confused with Back Bling. Backpacks are gameplay items that can’t be purchased as cosmetics. Another key difference is that Backpacks fill an inventory slot just as if it were a weapon or consumable. Backpacks are Legendary rarity items and are found in Treasure Chests. Only one backpack can be carried at a time and if you pick up a different backpack while... Read more...
