Cyberpunk 2077 news has been ramping up quite a bit in the past few weeks -- namely because of a recently announced delay -- but CD Projekt Red is giving us some more insight into the game leading up to its eventual launch. Today, we've getting another glimpse at Night City in all its ray traced glory. The video comes to us from NVIDIA, which managed to get some interviews with the CD Projekt Red team members to talk about what they're doing to bring Night City to life. Interspersed with those interviews are some nice gameplay images of Cyberpunk 2077 running full-tilt with real time ray tracing enabled. In this case, the demo is of course running on GeForce RTX 30 hardware, and... Read more...
It should come as no surprise that there's been a lot of hype surrounding the release of Cyberpunk 2077. It doesn't help that the game has been delayed multiple times, which has drawn even more attention to CD Projekt Red's latest masterpiece. With that being said, if you haven't already preordered the game on any platform so far, Google is offering up a rather intriguing deal for those that are potentially looking to try out Stadia game streaming. If you preorder the game on Stadia, Google will give you a free Stadia Premiere kit. This kit includes a single Stadia controller, a Chromecast Ultra and a one-month trial to Stadia Pro (if you're a new customer). For those not in the know,... Read more...
As we wait for the fifth episode of Night City Wire to showcase some of Cyberpunk 2077’s décor, CD Projekt Red has given us some in-game footage. The video released on YouTube today shows a player navigating around Night City in first-person on the Xbox One X and Xbox Series X. Without spoiling the game, CD Projekt Red jumps between several story-lines and locations in Night City. This isn’t just cinematic footage either, as we get to see some driving, NPC interaction, gunfights, explosions, and even a saber of some sort. Overall, the 10-minute video is well worth the watch. If you looked closely during the video, it looked like the Xbox One X struggled slightly more than... Read more...
If you're itching to learn more about Cyberpunk 2077, and all of the inner workings of Night City, you'll be glad to know that the fifth episode of Night City Wire will air next week. In almost cruel twist of irony, the episode will be released on November 19th at 7pm ET; the same day that Cyberpunk 2077 was supposed to launch before its latest delay was announced. This newest Night City Wire episode will air on Twitch, just like previous episodes, so you know exactly where to tune in. During this episode, the CD Projekt Red team will be talking more about the music that will set the atmosphere for the game, but perhaps the biggest takeaway is that the episode... Read more...
Cyberpunk 2077 is CD Projekt Red’s upcoming and highly anticipated game set for release on December 10th. Though the game has faced delays, gamers are still excited for Night City and the world of Cyberpunk 2077. OnePlus, the phone manufacturer, is using this excitement to its advantage by releasing a Cyberpunk 2077 themed OnePlus 8T at CNY 3999. Reservations kicked off today, and there will be limited sales on November 11th. The OnePlus 8T, though pricey, is still a solid phone. In our review, we found that the features were decent, but at $749, it just was not the value proposition we had seen from other OnePlus devices. The Cyberpunk 2077 edition of the phone at CNY 5999 ($600 USD) could... Read more...
CD Projekt Red's much-anticipated game, Cyberpunk 2077, received a yet another delay a few days ago, pushing it back to December 10th. While not a light decision, pushing the game back was done so that some final technical details could be ironed out, according to Adam Kiciński, joint CEO of CD Projekt Red, in an investor's call. In the same investors call, both Adam Kiciński and CFO Michał Nowakowski pinned down the December 10th date along with some other interesting tidbits. The biggest thing on everyone's mind is the delay of Cyberpunk 2077. When the questions opened on the investors' call, the first one asked was why the team is so confident in the December 10th date when delays had been... Read more...
Tell us if you've heard this one before... Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again. Once we heard that Cyberpunk 2077 had gone gold, we had wrongfully assumed that we wouldn't be faced with any more potential delays. But CD Projekt Red today confirmed our worst fears, indicating that the game will no longer be released on November 19th. Instead, it will now be released on December 10th barring any other unforeseen obstacles. "Most likely, there are many emotions and questions in your heads, so, first and foremost, please accept our humble apologies," the company explained in a tweet. Adam Badowski and Marcin Inwinski went on to blame the sheer number of versions that it... Read more...
Cyberpunk 2077 went gold earlier this month in preparation for its November 19th launch, and we’re quite certain that plenty of gamers have already placed their preorders. However, if you haven’t already preordered the game, Amazon currently has the game available with a $10 discount. Given how highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 is, and how much acclaim that it has already garnered from hands-on previews, we were a bit surprised to see this low pricing. With that being said, the $10 discount applies to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC versions of the game, which you can purchase using the links below: Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 4 $49.94 @ Amazon Cyberpunk 2077... Cyberpunk 2077 is shaping up to be one of the biggest gaming releases of 2020, and excitement surrounding the game is understandably incredibly high. We already knew that the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 would be a "family affair", so to speak, as it will launch on November 19th for the Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms.  However, CD Projekt Red confirmed today that Cyberpunk 2077 will be arriving on Google Stadia on the exact same day that it hits other platforms. This is an awesome development for those that have invested in Google's game streaming platform. The release of the game will represent the culmination of years of development, along with two recent delays to the game. However,... Read more...
In theory, there should not be any further delays to Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most highly anticipated games ever (certainly in recent memory). Things could still happen, but developer CD Projekt RED shared some encouraging news—Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold. That means the game is essentially finished and ready to go. You can bet the developers are still hard at work polishing up the experience, whacking bugs over the head, and so forth. But any further work on the game will arrive through patches and updates. The game itself is now in a state that it can be mass produced on optical discs and sent out to retailers, for those who still buy physical media. The announcement comes more than... Read more...
CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most hotly-anticipated games of recent years. The Witcher developer's take on the dystopian Cyberpunk tabletop RPG series promises to merge tons of action, series lore, and amazing graphics into a huge open-world adventure through Night City. From the screenshots we've seen over the last couple of years, it had appeared that the game might require a hefty PC. However, CDPR released the system requirements, and they're lighter than most people thought they'd be.  The game's official Twitter account tweeted minimum and recommended specs, and it seems like just about any quad-core gaming PC with a graphics card from the last six or seven years might... One of NVIDIA's major selling points when it introduced its GeForce RTX graphics cards based on Turing was the presence of dedicated RT cores to handle ray-traced visuals. It has been somewhat of a slow march to ray-traced territory by developers, though things have certainly improved. And looking ahead, Cyberpunk 2077 will embrace ray tracing effects in a big way. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games in recent history. We are optimistic it will live up to the hype. It should certainly look gorgeous, if nothing else, from what we have seen so far. "In addition to featuring CD Projekt Red’s fantastic open-ended gameplay, Cyberpunk 2077 is also blessed with jaw-droppingly beautiful,... Read more...
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2020, which is even more reason why the delays for the upcoming blockbuster have been a bitter pill for fans of the franchise to swallow. With that being said, CD Projekt Red has released two new gameplay trailers which should help tide gamers over until the game’s official release later this year. The first trailer seen below, which was revealed today during the Night City Wire event, gives us a look at the game’s prologue through the eyes of the main character, V. Cyberpunk 2077 is all about choices, and gamers will have the ability to set a path for their character in the early moments of the game to create their... Read more...

You know what they say about beauty—it is in the eye of the beholder. And depending on your eye, the Cyberpunk 2077 themed Xbox One X console either looks delightfully tough and tumble, or is a weathered mess. There is probably not a whole lot of middle ground, but either way, you can form your own opinion by spying a bunch of actual photos (read: not renders) of the Xbox One X Cyberpunk 2077 Edition game console. These are challenging times we find ourselves in, and had the situation been different, CD Projekt Red would have held a Night City Wire event this week. However, the developer/publisher decided to push it back until later this month. In the meantime, pictures of the themed console... Read more...
Earlier this year, NVIDIA gave away a limited number of Cyberpunk 2077 versions of its flagship GeForce RTX 2080 Ti consumer graphics card to enthusiasts. Shockingly, these cards ended up being sold on eBay for as much as $5,000. Talk about a major “payday” for those sellers! Now there's even more Cyberpunk 2077-themed products coming to market, including the Xbox One X Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Bundle. This is no doubt one of the coolest editions of the Xbox One X that we've seen to date, as it features laser etching, blue LED's and a custom controller. On top of that, the console itself actually glows in the dark. Sure, it might be a bit over the top, but we... Read more...
This may come as a surprise, but there is actually something more valuable than a box of toilet paper and hand sanitizer right now. Over on eBay, NVIDIA's "extremely rare" GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition graphics card is fetching prices in the range of $5,000. One that sold yesterday reached $5,200, and that did not even include shipping. The buyer had to pay an extra $29.20 to have it shipped, though at least the seller was offering expedited shipping. Still, it is not exactly a value purchase—the MSRP for a regular GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is $999, and the overclocked GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition model runs $1,199 on NVIDIA's website. So, what gives? In collaboration with... Read more...
NVIDIA’s close partnership with CD Projekt Red is easy to see, as witnessed by this week’s announcement of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition. Now, NVIDIA has announced that the highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable on GeForce NOW on day one. What’s even more good news – at least for those with a Founders membership – is that the game will fully support RTX real-time ray tracing effects via the streaming service. Gamers will be able to purchase the game on launch day directly from Steam, after which “GeForce NOW Founders members can explore the streets of Night City with RTX ON, fully optimized and instantly available, even on... Earlier this morning, both NVIDIA and CD Projekt RED teased the existence of a Cyberpunk 2077 special edition graphics card. Well, NVIDIA didn’t waste any time giving us official details on the fresh hardware that is on the way. NVIDIA says that the limited-edition card is officially called the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition. As you might have surmised given the name of the card, it’s based on NVIDIA’s existing GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition, and thus carries the exact same performance specifications. The primary differentiator between the two is obviously Cyberpunk 2077’s signature yellow design scheme and custom AL5052 aluminum cooling shroud. It will... Read more...
We all know that NVIDIA will be launching new graphics cards this year, with its next-generation Ampere GPU on the horizon. Before Ampere hits the scene, however, NVIDIA may have a limited edition Turing card waiting in the wings, one that might coincide with the launch of CD Projekt RED's highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 video game later this year. Or perhaps that too will be an Ampere part. Barring another delay, Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to launch in September 2020. There's been chatter of Ampere possibly being introduced at NVIDIA's Graphics Technology Conference (GTC) in March, and who knows when actual cards based on the next-gen GPU will land at retail. Either way, NVIDIA is teasing... Read more...
I feel pretty good about myself when I accomplish mundane chores, like raking the leaves or organizing my inbox and whittling down my visible emails to just a handful. Then I see something like the latest timelapse that was put together by Elysium Fire, a Minecraft building team, and I get anxiety just thinking about how much work and coordination it must have taken to construct this fantastic world. It's a sprawling futuristic city "strongly inspired" by Cyberpunk 2077, a highly anticipated open-world role playing game by CD Projekt Red, which is due out next year. Specifically, the builders drew their inspiration from Night City. To be clear, however, it's not a carbon copy by any means, "just... Read more...
Anticipation for the eventual launch of Cyberpunk 2077 seemingly grows by the day. A new batch of screenshots from CD Projekt RED at Gamescom further adds to the excitement for what is described as an "ambitious RGP for mature audiences," set to release in about eight months (barring any delays, of course). CD Projekt RED posted the screenshots to its Facebook page for the game, and the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. "The more I see of this game the more and more I want it. Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be amazing and [I] can't believe it comes out on my wedding anniversary. Too great day for me and Cyberpunk," one user wrote. Word of advice for the person who posted that comment,... Read more...
