The partnership will see a new range of Nerf blasters that look like weapons used in the widely popular Halo franchise, and the upcoming game Halo Infinite expected the land this year for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. Little is known about the new game at this time, so weapons inspired by those used in the game are news for fans of the franchise. One of the Nerf blasters is the Nerf Halo MA40 Blaster, which was designed to capture the look of a weapon used in Halo Infinite. Another of the weapons is the Halo SPNKr MicroShot that appears to have the ability to shoot one... Read more...
Microsoft recently announced that it was bringing the entire Halo catalog to PC, through both the Microsoft Store and Steam. For the first time, a fan of the franchise (new or old) will be able to play every major title without touching an Xbox console, if that is their desire. In anticipation of the wholesale port, Microsoft is opening up its Halo Insider program to PC players. The Halo Insider program was previously only available to Xbox One gamers, and it played an important role in fixing bugs in the Master Chief Collection for that console. By opening up the program to PC players, Microsoft hopes it will have the same effect on the Windows experience. "Join us on the journey to bring Halo:... Read more...
Many a PC gamer has wished the entire Halo collection would come to the PC. Typically the only way to partake in the entire collection is to play them on the Xbox game console, as Microsoft is reluctant to launch the games on PC. Microsoft used the Halo franchise as a way to get players to buy the Xbox, and the franchise was so important to the Xbox that each Xbox One X has a tiny Halo easter egg inside. Microsoft has finally made PC gamer dreams come true and is launching the entire Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC. Perhaps a bigger surprise than the entire Halo collection coming to the PC is that it can be purchased via the Microsoft Store and Steam. Microsoft thinks it needs the... Read more...

Lots of gamers out there will have very fond memories of the 2001 Xbox game Halo: Combat Evolved. Now, the very first ever Halo arcade game has been unveiled and the game takes place in the same timeframe as that 2001 fan favorite. Halo: Fireteam Raven is a collaboration of Microsoft and 343 Industries with Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix. The game is one of those four player outings you have probably seen in the arcade before with a giant cabinet with four guns and four seats inside. The cooperative game lets you fight alongside Master Chief to stop the Covenant and save the galaxy. Players will also have to fight the parasitic Flood in the game, assuming your coins and prowess get you to that... Read more...
Silicon art is nothing new, though usually you need a mighty strong microscope to see the hidden gems etched at the microscopic level on chips and wafers. That is not the case with Microsoft's powerful Xbox One X console. Anyone who cracks open the chassis will be able to see a special piece of art included on the green printed circuit board in the upper right corner. The artwork is of a minuscule Master Chief sitting atop a scorpion, sort of in the same vein as a cowboy riding a bucking bronco. This is not a random Easter Egg—Microsoft is paying homage to Halo, a hugely popular game franchise that these days is managed and developed by 343 Industries, a subsidiary of Microsoft Studios, and the... 2016 has been a great year for Halo 5: Guardians so far, as it's received five great content updates which have included new game modes, new maps, and of course, new REQs to seek out. The next update, though, called Warzone Firefight, looks like it will be the biggest of the eight updates released so far. As we teased about a couple of months ago, this particular update includes a new multiplayer mode called Warzone Firefight. As its name implies, Warzone Firefight is a fork of Warzone, which means that the huge maps you've come to appreciate are going to be featured here. The mechanics behind the mode are quite different, though. It's important to note that Warzone Firefight is a co-op mode,... Read more...
Action From Halo 5: Guardians Warzone Firefight Halo 5: Guardians’ Warzone multiplayer mode is one of the main reasons gamers keep coming back to the title. The large maps and intense action are one of Halo 5’s mainstays. But in an update due to be released soon, 343 Games and Microsoft are kicking things up a few notches and introducing a new mode, dubbed Warzone Firefight, that takes the multi-player Warzone concept and scales it up to what they’re claiming is “the biggest Halo cooperative experience ever in franchise history”. In Warzone Firefight mode, up to eight players can work together in a co-operative effort to complete five rounds of objectives, which get increasing more difficult... Read more...

To say that the Halo franchise is a big deal for Microsoft and Xbox gamers is a serious understatement. Halo remains the most recognizable gaming property for the Xbox platform, and the release last week of Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One was nothing short of spectacular. Microsoft reports that in its first week of availability, Halo 5: Guardians brought in over $400 million in global sales. Microsoft specifically mentions “games and hardware” in that figure, so the company is likely including Halo 5: Guardians Xbox One bundles in that figure, which skews those numbers a bit. After all, the console bundle retails for $499, while a boxed version of the game will set you back just $59.99. Regardless... Read more...
Fans of Halo who don't happen to own an Xbox would do well to pay attention to a little snippet that just came out of an interview with Microsoft's Franchise Development Director Frank O'Connor. When questioned about whether or not we'd ever see Halo 5 on the PC, he gave the impression that it could indeed happen. "There is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC", he says, but he's quick to follow up with, "Nothing to announce at this point." However, giving us all the hope in the world that this could happen, he notes that the game was developed on Intel PCs, so it wouldn't be "the hardest thing in the world" to port it over and "take advantage of PC stuff." It's too early... Read more...
