Gamers and fans of Apex Legends aren't at all happy with EA and Respawn Entertainment right now. The pricing structure for the skins and other items in the Iron Crown event has angered players and heaped ire onto the developers of the game. Players are angry because it costs about 700 Apex coins to open a loot box for the chance to get the skin you want. That means if you pay until you unlock all the cosmetics, it would cost you $154 and then you have the chance to buy the heirloom set for another 3500 coins. Apex Legends fans are not happy with EA and Respawn Entertainment thanks to high prices for that the loot being doled out in the current Iron Crown event. The problem that gamers have is in how Apex Legends has priced the items and how they are handed out.  It costs players about 700 Apex Coins to open each Iron Crown pack, which is about $7 in real-world cash. There are 24 Iron Crown packs in total, and only two can be earned via gameplay. Many Apex Legends fans have wanted a chance to ditch the other players and play by themselves for a while now, and it appears that they finally going to get that opportunity. Apex Legends has released a trailer for a limited-time event that will run during the Iron Crown Collection Event called Solos, which features solo playing. The new single-player mode is a marked change for a game that has previously only allowed gamers to play with squads of three. Apex Legends's developers have been fighting cheaters almost as long as the game has been around. Developers for the game had banned about 770,000 Apex Legends cheaters as of May. Respawn devs have checked in with the gaming community over on Reddit and given some insight into what is going on in the game and its attempts to stop cheaters from ruining the game. Amazon Prime Day is right around the corner, and while the usual assortment of discounts and bargains will be in full swing, Twitch Prime is planning to gift subscribers exclusive in-game Apex Legends content. This will include a unique Legend skin and weapon skin, along with three more exclusive Apex Legends skins throughout July and August. So far this year, Twitch Prime has gifted free games and in-game content worth over $2,000. Apex Legends is set to launch Season 2 soon and with the new season will come some big changes to the game. The launch trailer for Season 2 has landed, and it teases that "Kings Canyon will never be the same." We see in the still shot for the trailer the dragons, which have been dubbed Flyers. We also see the giant eye of the Leviathan that has been seen moving closer to the shore. Apex Legends is an always-evolving game that continually has new content in the works to keep players happy. New content for Season 02 will land next month and will bring a new Legend called Wattson. About a month ago, a new update was teased that was going to bring with it new performance enhancements. Now something new has popped up in the game that has players excited: dragons. EA held an earnings call this week where it talked about the state of things and offered up some details on how its popular game franchises have been doing. The call was for Q4 FY2019, and the star of the call was Apex Legends. The game launched in February and single handedley turned things around for EA. Apex Legends has shown no signs of slowing over the quarter, and EA says that it is the fastest growing game it has ever had. Within a month of launching, 50 million players were playing the game. Cheating is a big problem in many online games but is especially rampant in battle royale games like Apex Legends and Fortnite. EA is working very hard behind the scenes to improve Apex Legends, and part of the way it is working to improve is by catching and kicking cheaters off the game. Apex Legends dev Respawn has been working with EA Security and Fraud, the Origin teams, and developers at DICE, FIFA, and Capital Games along with Easy-Anti-Cheat to continue the cheater cleanup.
