The Galaxy Buds Plus will instead feature passive noise cancellation, which is the same type of noise cancellation featured on the existing Galaxy Buds. With most other high-end true wireless earbuds offering active noise canceling, lacking that feature... Read more...
A new rumor is making the rounds that claims something that may make Apple fans happy about the coming 2020 iPhone devices. According to the rumor, Apple is considering bundling the wildly popular AirPods with its new 2020 smartphones.  The fear with the rumors is that Apple may be using the bundling of AirPods with the 2020 iPhone models to justify further price hikes -- especially considering that the smartphones are expected to be Apple's first with 5G. If prices stay about the same as they are currently and the AirPod are included as a value add, this would be a good thing. Bundling of the AirPods might entice buyers who are holding onto their older iPhones to upgrade. According to DigiTimes,... Read more...
The countdown is on for the debut of the 2019 iPhone models from Apple, and rumors have been flying for months about the devices. A new rumor is making the rounds that support for the Apple Pencil is expected to arrive for the iPhone. Stylus support is a feature that Samsung packs into the Galaxy Note 10, and all Galaxy Note devices that came before it. Since the Apple Pencil launched, it has only been supported on the iPad and iPad Pro line of tablets. Steve Jobs famously said in the past that the iPhone used the best stylus in the world as he held up a finger. That didn't stop the iPad from gaining Apple Pencil support long ago, and many mat welcome support coming to the iPhone. Multiple case... Read more...
A new rumor is making the rounds that claims Apple will change the branding for its high-end iPhone line this year. Leaker CoinX posted via Twitter that the naming convention for the iPhone for 2019 will include "Pro" hinting that high-end versions of the smartphone might be called the iPhone Pro.  Reports indicate that CoinX has a short history of Apple leaks, but has been accurate with leaks in the past. The leaker was accurate on current iPhone naming, the iPad mini coming back, and the iPhone XS Max. The leaker was also correct on symmetry differences between iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR. All the leak claimed was that the Pro name would be used. Apple already uses the Pro branding... Read more...
Samsung appears to be cooking up a new ultra-portable laptop. Infamous leaker Evan "evleaks" Blass just tweeted out some apparent renders of a Samsung Galaxy Book S. The Galaxy Book S will run Windows 10 S and is anticipated to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, similar to the Galaxy Book 2's Snapdragon 850 SoC. We can reasonably expect the Galaxy Book S to also be outfitted with 8GB of RAM. The Galaxy Book 2 was styled after the Microsoft Surface wherein its keyboard is detachable and the tablet portion can be supported by a kickstand. The Galaxy Book S, by contrast, uses a traditional laptop hinged design and draws a comparisons to Microsoft's Surface Laptop. The images provide us... Read more...
A new leak by Ice Universe is showing off what is claimed to be a rendering of the coming Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. The rendering highlights the thin bezels that Samsung has used on the device to give it a high screen-to-body ratio. The leaker claims that based on renderings, the side bezels are 1.5mm thick with a top bezel of 2.0mm, chin bezel of 3.7mm, and a hole in the screen for the front camera that is 4.2mm in diameter. The thin bezels all around give the Galaxy Note 10+ a screen-to-body ratio of 92.5%. The new renders aren't the only images we have seen of the Note 10 series of smartphones. What are thought to be official renderings of the Note 10 leaked earlier this month along with some... Read more...
Apple and Qualcomm haven't exactly been the best of friends in recent years, but the former needs the latter's modems for its iPhones. The need for modem chips was part of the reason for the settlement reached between the two companies earlier this year that saw both dropping a number of lawsuits hurled at each other. However, A new report is making the rounds that claims that Apple will purchase Intel's modem business for $1 billion. Reports claim that Apple is "in advanced talks" to buy the Intel modem chip division within the next week. The source of the rumor comes from unnamed people who claim to be familiar with the negotiations cited by The Wall Street Journal. Apple made up... Read more...
A new rumor is making the rounds at several Chinese websites this week claiming Apple is considering a new iPhone model specific for the Chinese market. The new model would ditch the Face ID sensor in favor of an in-screen fingerprint reader according to the report. Apple is famous for its high margins on its products, and it is reluctant to cut prices to maintain sales at the expense of its margins. What Apple often prefers to do is beat on suppliers to reduce its cost on components used inside its devices. The new rumor claims that one of the places that Apple is looking to reduce its cost on the iPhone and compete more effectively in China is by eliminating the Face ID sensor. Apple is facing... Rumors were swirling in February of this year from noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that Apple would be launching a new display this year along with a new 16-inch MacBook Pro. The display launch happened, but the 16-inch MacBook Pro was absent from the event that did bring some updated Macs. A new rumor is going around that Apple is launching a 16-inch MacBook Pro this year, and this new information is based on an industry report from IHS Market. The report claims that Apple will launch a 16-inch MacBook Pro that has a screen resolution of 3072 x 1920, up from the 2880 x 1800 resolution screen offered in the 15-inch MacBook. The same updated keyboard and newer 9th gen Intel processors are expected... Read more...

There have been many leaks making the rounds that claim to give insight into what the 2019 Apple iPhone models will look like, and what features they will offer. Rumors have suggested that these new iPhone models won't have 5G connectivity (which isn't surprising), but will have a new antenna design. Rumors have also indicated that the new iPhones will have an ugly, square camera bump on the rear with three cameras inside. Many iPhone fans have hoped that the unsightly square camera bump rumor was wrong. But, that earlier reporting has seemingly been confirmed with alleged iPhone prototype cases surfacing that show a large square cutout for the camera area. The third camera sensor -- which... Borderlands fans were excited when the latest game in the franchise, Borderlands 3, was announced just a few days ago. What some fans aren't so excited about is that the game is rumored to be an Epic Games Store exclusive. Several high profile game publishers are trying to escape the Steam tax that Valve imposes and Fortnite was the first major game to skip the Steam store in favor of the Epic Games Store. Yesterday the Borderlands official Twitter account reportedly posted that said "Mayhem is coming September 13" and later deleted the tweet. Considering yesterday was April Fool's we should all have the salt handy. Other reports claim that a 6-second Borderlands 3 Twiter video ad was floating... Read more...
The time is drawing near for the next generation of game consoles, as the PS4 and Xbox One are certainly getting long in the tooth. Sony has mostly dominated this generation of the console wars with its PlayStation 4 selling 94 million units, surprisingly distancing itself from Microsoft's offering. Microsoft is working on a lower price current generation Xbox One S that lacks an optical drive, tipped for launch May 7 and aiming at luring buyers from the PS4. However, a new leak is making the rounds that alleges to be an image of the net generation Sony PlayStation 5 devkit  console and controller. Today is the day that all the details about Apple's long coming and much-rumored streaming video service will land. Previous rumors about the streaming service claimed that Apple device owners would get free access to some of the original programming that the company is working on and that the service will launch next month. Word is that Apple irritated some of the Hollywood types it is working with on the original programming by meddling too much with the creation process. A new report that originated with the Wall Street Journal directly refutes some of those old rumors. According to the report, Apple will offer no free content to device owners and will charge a fee to watch its new programming;... Read more...
The Nintendo Switch has been an incredibly popular game console that has sold very well for Nintendo. The Japanese gaming giant confirmed in January that it had sold over 32 million Switch consoles as of the end of 2018. Now, a new report claims that there are two new versions of the Switch in the works. The report claims that one of the new Switch models will have "enhanced features" and will aim directly at avid gamers. However, the Wall Street Journal report claims that the enhanced Switch won't be as powerful as the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X consoles. That would seem to indicate no support for 4K resolution gaming, but we don't know that for sure. Multiple sources from within the supply chain... Read more...
Thing's aren't all rosy in the iPhone realm today. Apple has been forced to go back to Qualcomm modems in the German market to get around a sales ban. In addition, consumers are upgrading their smartphones on a much longer upgrade cycle than in years past. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published a research note that predicts what we might see from Apple on the iPhone and iPad front for 2019 that could spark an upgrade craze from customers. Kuo says that the 2019 iPhone line will include a 6.5-inch and 5.8-inch OLED model and a 6.1-inch LCD model -- the same as the current crop of devices. Kuo expects that the followup to the iPhone XR will get 4GB of RAM and that all models will use a frosted... Read more...

The S10 will have multiple cameras and all will have in-display fingerprint reader technology. They won't all have... Read more...
Apple fans love rumors, and one of the best places to find hints of upcoming hardware is within new developer versions of iOS. The iOS 12.2 beta is currently available and one developer dug into the code looking for references to future products. Not surprisingly, iOS developer/guru Steven Troughton-Smith found references in the code to four new iPad models. The models referenced include "iPad11,1"; "iPad11,2"; "iPad11,3"; and "iPad11,4". The iPads with the 11,2 and 11,4 designations called out in the code are rumored to be cellular versions with the other two offering Wi-Fi only. All we have to go on right now is speculation, but the thought it that these iPad designations are for new iPad... Read more...
Of all the features that Apple's iPhone popularized, one of the most maligned was the notch. The notch came to be when the iPhone screen grew larger, and Apple needed somewhere to put the front camera and sensors for the smartphone. Several Android devices also use the notch, but some are already moving to using holes punched through the screen that the front camera shoots through. A new rumor has surfaced that claims Apple won't be following the punched hole screen trend with the next iteration of the iPhone. The rumor came from Chinese leaker Ice Universe who recently tweeted that the new iPhone models expected next Fall will still use a notch. The leaker goes on to claim that the 2020 iPhone...
