As we inch closer to the October 26 launch date for the highly anticipated title Red Dead Redemption 2, more and more details on the game are coming out. We learned not long ago that if you ditch the minimap in the game, the NPCs will dish out directions to keep you on track. Rockstar also put out a second gameplay trailer to give us a look at what the game will offer earlier this month. In a recent story, Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser talked about Red Dead Redemption 2 and gave up some very interesting facts about the game. Houser noted that the team working on the game put in 100-hour... Read more...
Gamers have a lot to look forward to as 2018 winds down, and one of the most anticipated games on the docket is Red Dead Redemption 2. This is a game that fans of the franchise have waited years to play, and the launch is almost here. A new rumor about the game is making the rounds today that tips a feature you won’t see unless you ditch the mini-map guiding you around the world. Word is that when you turn off the mini-map, the dialog that NPCs dole out will change. With the map disabled, the NPCs will give you directions to help you navigate around the world. That dialog is said to... Read more...
One of the most anticipated games of the year is Red Dead Redemption 2; the game is set to launch on October 26, which is only a few weeks away. Sony and Rockstar have teamed up to offer players a Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) PS4 Pro bundle if you need a console to play it on. The last new trailer for the game was back in early August, and now Rockstar has another one for fans to check out. There are plenty of exciting games coming this fall, and one of the titles that gamers are looking forward to is the Rockstar-produced, western-themed game Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). Last month a brand-new gameplay trailer turned up for Red Dead getting the masses excited for its launch. A tidbit about RDR2 has surfaced that isn't good news; if you have lots of content on your console and storage space is at a premium this may be a huge problem. RDR2 will be the biggest game in terms of sheer storage space needed that has ever landed on the PS4. An image of the back of the PS4 Pro RDR2 bundle... Read more...

Gamers have been looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 2 for a long time now. So far, we have seen trailers, but it has been mostly cut scenes instead of actual gameplay elements. We now have a new trailer that shows us a bunch of cutscenes and mixes that in with actual gameplay footage, and the game looks epic. The slightly longer than six-minute video gives us a glimpse at most aspects of the game from the poker mini-game to schlepping your way around the open world, fighting hand-to-hand, catching fugitives, and shooting. You can easily tell what is cutscenes and what is gameplay by looking... Read more...
PC gamers who felt left out by Rockstar because of no mention of Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to the PC should be thrilled to hear that's not the case. One of the developers on the game accidentally let the existence of the PC version slip by posting it to a LinkedIn profile. The profile lists that the dev worked on Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This is good news for PC gamers as it is the first direct confirmation that the game will land on platform. Pity was taken on the hapless developer by VG247 and his name was blocked out of the screenshot, so maybe he won’t get... Read more...
Red Dead Redemption 2 has nearly passed into lore and has been accused of being vaporware by more than a few gamers over the years. The game was originally talked up with the first trailer back in October of 2016 with the promise of a 2017 launch. That 2017 launch never happened, but we did get the second trailer for the game in September of 2017. Rockstar also issued an apology in 2017 for delaying the game again, saying at the time, "We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring... Read more...
Now is a good time to be a multi-platform gamer. That's because some high profile games are on sale, including Super Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo Switch and Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PlayStation 4 (and maybe the Xbox One as well). You have to act fast, though, as we are not sure how long either of these discounts will last. Red Dead Redemption 2, for example, seems to have already sold out of discounted Xbox One preorders. It's been a bit of a wild ride for Red Dead Redemption 2 so far, which Rockstar Games first announced in October 2016. At the time, the developer said the sequel would... Read more...
Tell us if you're heard this one before -- a highly-anticipated game is announced, and then its developers push back its release again... and again. Such is the case with Red Dead Redemption 2, which was officially announced in October 2016. At the time, it was said that the game would be released in Fall 2017. However, in May 2017, Rockstar Games said that the game would be delayed until Spring 2018. Today, Rockstar has penciled in another delay, now saying that the game will be available on October 26th, 2018. If this launch date holds up (we're not holding our breaths), the game will arrive... It's been quite a while since we last discussed Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2. Back in May, the developer announced that the game had been delayed from Fall 2017 to Spring 2018. "We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready," said Rockstar at the time. "We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer." Well, Rockstar is delivering some good news today with a new trailer for the game, which is sure to get your pulse racing if you've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this western-themed... The long awaited sequel to Red Dead Redemption released in 2010 will not come out this fall as originally planned. Instead, Rockstar Games announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed until spring of next year, as it needs additional time to make sure the sequel lives up to expectations. The American heartland is, after all, "vast and unforgiving" when hopping back in time and trying to create an outlaw experience from the ground up. It seems as though the two top console makers are content with extending this generation with higher performing machines to usher in 4K gaming on big-screen TVs. Sony delivered the PlayStation 4 Pro in late 2016, and Microsoft will do the same later this year with Project Scorpio — the follow-up to the Xbox One S. The latest rumblings surrounding Project Scorpio are that Microsoft will highlight three upcoming games that will take full advantage of the 4K capabilities of the upcoming console. Those games include Forza Motorsport 7, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead Redemption... Read more...
For whatever reason, Rockstar Games never seems to prioritize the PC. We see it with every Grand Theft Auto release—first it releases to consoles, then sometime way later it finally moseys on over to PC where a still eager audience awaits. But with Red Dead Redemption 2, a hotly anticipated sequel Rockstar recently announced, the publisher only confirmed support for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Does that mean there will never be a PC port? Not so fast. Though Rockstar didn't say anything about a PC version arriving at a later did, it also didn't specifically say there wouldn't be a PC port.... Read more...
