Rockstar Confirms Red Dead Redemption 2 Gallops Onto PC And Google Stadia In November
Today, Rockstar confirmed that the game is coming to the Windows PC platform, and the launch date is right around the corner: November 5th. For gamers that want to jump ahead in line, you can go ahead and download the newly launched Rockstar Games Launcher and preorder the game starting on October 9th. As an added bonus, it was also announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be among the many titles available for Google's new Stadia game streaming service when it also launches next month.
As you might expect giving the stout hardware available on the PC versus the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms that Red Dead Redemption 2 originally launched on, it's promised that the game will have plenty of graphical enhancements that will "increase immersion". Red Dead Redemption 2 is already a gorgeous game on consoles like the Xbox One X, so we can't wait to see how it will look on a rig with a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti with all the graphical goodies turned on.
On an added note, gamers will of course have access to the Read Dead Online multiplayer component along with content updates like Frontier Pursuits. In addition to being available for preorder via the Rockstar Games Launcher, it can also be obtained from GameStop, the Humble Store, and Greenman Gaming.
Rockstar is throwing in a boatload of freebies for those who preorder through the Rockstar Game Launcher, however, which is likely to dissuade gamers from going with the above-mentioned alternatives. For starters, if you preorder between October 9th and October 22nd, you'll be able to obtain two of the following games for free:
- Grand Theft Auto III
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- Bully: Scholarship Edition
- L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
- Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition
If that wasn't enough, you'll get a $20 discount on the Special Edition and Ultimate Edition. Likewise, you'll get other freebies including 50 gold bars for Red Dead Online and the War Horse for Story Mode (among other things).
Rockstar is encouraging gamers to stay tuned for more details on Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC that will land over the coming weeks, starting with the first in-game screenshots which will drop on October 9th.
