Gamers never really like it when games are exclusive to a specific console. Juggling multiple systems is not only cost prohibitive to many, but it's a tedious task. One of the most appealing new exclusive titles that is coming to the Nintendo Switch is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. The game is set to launch in July, and at E3 2019, Nintendo has been heavily talking up the game. A huge amount of information about the game has been offered at E3 with videos spanning over an hour. The videos show gameplay and have commentary from one of the game's writers along with comments from members of Marvel Games. The game walkthroughs touch on the roster that players can choose characters... Read more...
Fortnite is one of the most popular video games in the world, and the Avengers movies are some of the most popular superhero  films. With a new Avengers film landing this week, Fortnite is having a crossover event. The Fortnite/Avengers: Endgame crossover kicks off on April 25, which is the day before the movie hits theaters. Fortnite and Marvel are offering no details on exactly what the crossover will bring at the time. All we have to go on is an image that shows a Fortnite character holding Captain America's shield. It would be easy enough to assume there will be some Avengers: Endgame skins to collect and other Avengers items. The crossover event isn't all that is going on in the Fortnite... Read more...
Kids these days have no idea what the web was like in the early days, back when America On-Line trial CDs littered store counters and instead of Googling, you would Ask Jeeves. They can get a taste what online life was like in the dial-up era, though, in the most awesome of ways—by visiting Marvel's Captain Marvel website. Let's talk about Captain Marvel for a quick second, and then we will get back to what makes the website such a treat for us nostalgic types. Captain Marvel is an upcoming superhero movie based on Carol Danvers, who is played by Brie Larson. It has been in development since May 2013, and when it hits the silver screen later this year, it will be Marvel's first superhero... Read more...
To celebrate the launch of Marvel's Spider-Man, the hotly anticipated game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 4 Pro, Sony released a limited edition PS4 themed after the arachnid super hero. Themed consoles are nothing new, though this one seems to have struck a cord with gamers. Every time a retailer replenishes its inventory, it sells out faster than Peter Parker can change from an unassuming teen to a web-slinger in tights. Lucky for me, I was able to snag one at my local Walmart, which for a brief period of time claimed to have exactly five units in stock. I placed my order online, picked it up, and promptly sold it... Are moviegoers trying of a seemingly relentless stream of comic book movies headed to theaters? If Deadpool’s release is any indication, the answer is an enthusiastic “Hell No!” Deadpool had a rather meager (at least compared to other superhero movies) $58 million budget and was originally projected to bring in $65 million to $70 million during Presidents Day weekend. However, the raucous movie absolutely obliterated studio and analyst expectations, tallying an astounding $135 million during the Friday to Sunday period (domestic box office). Not only did Deadpool surpass all studio expectations, even securing a sequel before the movie actually opened in theaters, but it did so with an R-rating.... Read more...
The first official trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Captain America: Civil War hit the web today and it’s pretty freakin’ awesome. The trailer begins where the post-credit scene from Ant Man leaves off, with Bucky’s metal arm trapped in a piece of machinery, while Falcon and Cap look on. It’s obviously after the events of Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron, and Cap asks Bucky, “Buck -- Do you remember me?”. You really should hear Bucky’s answer and see Cap’s response to help understand why this ultimately happens... Bucky, Captain America, And Iron Man Duke It Out Yes, that’s Bucky and Captain America putting the beat down on Iron Man. It seems all of the tech in Tony’s suit can’t help him when Cap... Living with a disability isn't easy for anyone, and it can be downright depressing for a kid who is bursting with energy and loaded with ambition. Fortunately, there do exist people out there who want to make sure those living with disabilities are able to more easily deal with them, and in the case of startup Open Bionics, its goal is to make sure kids can actually make some fun out of it. Soon, kids requiring prosthetics will be able to get some very interesting designs. Open Bionics has teamed up with The Walt Disney Company to let kids sport designs modeled after Iron Man, Elsa, and even Star Wars. Given that business is business, no one could blame you if you thought that this would result... Read more...

An anonymous bidder laid out a cool $91K and change in an online auction to put an extra-special Iron Man Limited Edition Galaxy S6 Edge in their pocket, agreeing to pay 100 times the retail price for the device due to its 66 serial number (in China six is considered a lucky number, and thus 66 is doubly so). Yes, you read that right, and no, it is not the 1st of April, not in the U.S., China, or anywhere else today on our spinning blue rock.  The JD.com auction for the devilishly cool Iron Man Limited Edition Galaxy S666 Edge comes just two weeks after another one of the Edge-y Tony Stark devices sold on eBay for the comparatively low price of $35,600. Specifically,... Read more...
The gloves are off now...or, rather, they are on, and then off, and then on again. Last night Robert Downey Jr. turned up at the MTV Movie Awards with an extended heretofore mostly unseen clip from Marvel Studios' cannot-get-here-fast enough Avengers: Age of Ultron. It’s a let 'er rip 90 seconds of the Iron Man versus Hulk battle that the film trailers, promos, and television commercials have only teased up until now.  Throughout the scene Downey Jr.'s Iron Man is bedecked in the "Hulkbuster" armor — arguably the very essence of <Hot>Hardware — that has had fans all a-tizzy since the first trailer for the film debuted back in October, and... When it comes to superhero face-offs, Iron Man vs. the Hulk is shaping up as the one to beat. (Not that Iron Man’s dust-up with Thor in “The Avengers” wasn’t mightily entertaining.) Marvel has been stoking the fire in advance of the upcoming “Avengers: Age of Ultron” sequel, even going so far as to release a teaser trailer for the Iron Man/Hulk trailer (think on that a second), which released today. Trailer screengrab. Image credit: Marvel While none of the movies about individual Avengers could be described as cheery, the first title to see the Avengers unite was particularly dark and ended with an alien invasion that wreaked history-changing damage on Earth. Now, the Avengers face Ultron, and... Read more...
“Yo dawg! I heard you like trailers, so I made a trailer for your trailer.” Marvel is hoping for an epic opening for its upcoming sequel to the 2012 smash hit, The Avengers. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is set for release on May 1, but Marvel is taken an Xzibit-esque turn by releasing a teaser trailer for the upcoming trailer that will debut on January 12 during the NCAA college football championship game on ESPN. Yes, you heard that right. We have now come to the point where trailers actually need their own teaser trailer. And to add insult to injury, the teaser trailer for the trailer simply shows us some recycled clips from the original trailer. To see for yourself, watch the 15-second clip... Read more...
LG is launching its first Android-powered phone, the LG Ally. As part of the marketing campaign, you'll get a special edition Iron Man 2 comic book when you buy an LG Ally, LG Chocolate Touch, or LG enV Touch phone.
