It's almost the end of December, and I almost went an entire month without a single problem from my ISP! I just got home and let me tell you... it's hard trying to teach someone, who thinks AOL is the Internet, to actively protect themselves against spyware ;) It's almost as fun as explaining that pop-ups that say "You have a virus, Click Here!!!!1!", might not be telling the truth! Hey there gang, welcome back!  Man, it has just been one of those stretches where nothing seems to be going right for me.  The last few weeks I've been dealing with an ailing pet, who is looking much better thankfully.  Now my neck has decided to give me a lesson in pain, to the point that I am looking at the world with a bit of a tilt.  I sure hope this goes away soon.  I kind of feel like Ed Sullivan right now.  So I guess I will be popping the Doan's Back Pills and hope for some relief.  While this did stop me in my tracks yesterday, it isn't stopping me from getting the news out to you!  Here's your latest dose for today... Good morning all.  I can't believe we are gearing up for another hurricane here in NC.  I moved down here from NY about 5 months ago to find a more affordable place to live with a slower pace.  While those virtues hold true, I never expected to be dodging hurricanes and tornadoes on a regular basis.  Mother Nature is active this season and if all goes well, we'll keep dodging her fury.  At this point, I'm actually looking forward to Winter! Debugging the Megahertz Myth Editorial @ CoolTechZone: "Most, if not all, of you have read or been in heated debates over why or why not higher clocked microprocessors are better than their "comparable" competition.... For video card manufacturers, the drums of technology beat forever. Today's hot new release is tomorrow's eBay listing, because the hardcore enthusiasts are always looking for the next "big thing". It's a hard to stay on top of the list for very long, so we were interested in the recent arrival of two new GeForce FX 5900XT's in our labs. Originally, our plans were to pit these two together XTs, mano a mano, to see which of the two cards would come out on top. After our initial peek into the boxes and specs for each card, however, we decided to give each card its own day in the sun. Our first article in this series will cover the Prolink Pixelview GeForce FX 5900XT... Read more...
