Painkiller: Battle Out of Hell, Square Enix working on 'new brand concept'.

Well folks, it's time for me to do my first all game info news post. Over time, I assure you it will get better... I may possibly add a small graphic banner to distinguish it from the normal news posts, and maybe a few other things. But for now, I'll just post what interesting bits I've found. If you have any suggestions on what you think would make it better, make sure to send me an E-Mail!

Square Enix working on 'new brand concept'

"Called "Code Age", whatever it is, Square Enix considers it a "new concept brand" and doesn't specify any platforms or specific games, leading to speculation that it will be exploited across multiple forms of media - much as the company's been doing recently with Final Fantasy VII. The fact that Square Enix already owns a number of US trademarks derived from Code Age seems to support this."

Second Halo 2 update expands matchmaking

"Call it Halo 2.2. Bungie's second major Halo 2 update was announced by the company today. Unlike the first update, which opened the previously locked Foundation map and fixed various technical issues, this update aids Halo 2 users where it helps most--on Xbox Live."

Ships Ahoy - Painkiller: Battle Out of Hell

The Expansion Pack includes 10 massive single player levels in an additional single-player chapter, as well as new multiplayer modes, maps and models. It will also offer an amplified arsenal of un-deadly weapons, bigger and badder bosses and the map editor Software Development Kit."

Half-Life 2 Multiplayer Benchmarks and Screenshots @ AMDZone

Valve wins copyright infringement case against Vivendi

"Half-Life 2 creator Valve Games has announced that a legal complaint filed against publisher Vivendi Universal Games in August 2002 has been upheld by a US court, but several other cases remain outstanding."

Far Cry 1.3 Performance - Mainstream @ FiringSquad

"With Half-Life 2's release earlier this month, Crytek's Far Cry 1.3 patch has largely been forgotten by most, but we decided to revisit the topic with ATI's RADEON 9800 PRO/XT and X700 PRO, arguably the most common cards from ATI that are talked about in the $200-$300 segment (since the X700 XT is still impossible to find), and the GeForce 6600 GT and GeForce 6800, which are the clearly the superior solutions of choice right now from NVIDIA at that price point."
