For quite some time, there have been several leaks regarding the eventual Grand Theft Auto 6, including an alleged return to Vice City. Up until now, these leaks have been generally unfounded, but a new teaser discovered in Red Dead Redemption 2 may give credence to what we have heard about GTA 6. Earlier this week, content creator StrangeMan discovered what appeared to be a GTA 6 teaser within a point of interest in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). Near the Sea of Coronado, players can find a skeleton of a Jesuit Missionary called “Brother Rodolfo,” along with a rather interesting letter he brought. The letter mentions that Rodolfo was called to the east by God; however, the writer,... Read more...
GTA 6 has been on the horizon for some time, and there have been rumors left and right about the upcoming game from Rockstar. Though the company has not announced nor confirmed anything yet, we could be getting closer to a launch of the much-anticipated game. Rockstar North, out of Edinburgh, is in charge of Grand Theft Auto development, and they are hiring a new game tester alongside other interesting positions. Rockstar's website lists 18 different job positions currently available for applicants, including the rather interesting game tester role. Diving into the position, Rockstar is looking for people with "Knowledge of current generation games consoles and PCs" and who have "Competent gaming... Read more...
Seeing Grand Theft Auto VI or Red Dead Redemption 3 in the future is a pretty safe bet considering those are Rockstar’s biggest IPs. The fan-favorite game from Rockstar, Bully, may not get the same treatment, however. Leakers have reported that Bully 2 got the axe back in 2017 due to its more popular franchises taking development priority. Does that mean it cannot be revived, though?   In late December, Rockstar insider Tez2 went to the GTA forums to explain a little bit of what happened at Rockstar since 2014. He claims that GTA VI was in “pre-production back in 2015, so development probably didn't kick off until 2016 or 2017, but shortly after that, the pace slowed down due... Read more...
A pair of leaks have turned up on 4Chan that claim to outline details of Rockstar's forthcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans of the franchise would do well to take these rumors with a grain of salt as there's no way to know for sure if any of these details are accurate. The leaker on 4Chan goes by Rhanadeng and claims to have been a friend of a disgruntled employee working on the game during 2019. The source claims that this employee allegedly asked him to anonymously leak information about GTA 6. However, things later improved, and he lost contact with the Rockstar team member. One key detail is that this person also claims the game has been in active development since 2016 or 2017, with pre-production... Read more...
At some point, Rockstar Games will inevitable announce Grand Theft Auto VI, because the hugely popular franchise is much too big for Grand Theft Auto V (and GTA Online) to end up being the swan song. When will it happen, though? Not on March 25, as was rumored (the date has come and gone). And not during a subsequent livestream that had some fans excited, which turned out to be a prank. Let's back up a moment. Last week, GTA VI rumors kicked into high gear when an anonymous forum users claimed to have the skinny on a pending announcement. Citing "multiple inside sources," the user claimed GTA VI would see an unveiling on March 25, with players being reintroduced to a 1980s style Vice City setting.... Read more...
It has been six and a half years since Grand Theft Auto V first came out, and in our review, we found it offered up a triple dose of satirical fun. To an extent, the game still holds up today, and of course Grand Theft Auto Online has given it some legs (check out the role playing videos on YouTube for a good laugh). What about the next installment, though? Rumor has it Grand Theft Auto VI is about to get announced. Five years lapsed between the release of Grand Theft Auto IV and GTA V, and we are already beyond that point. It is also a foregone conclusion that a GTA VI will materialize—it's too popular of a franchise for Rockstar Games to suddenly abandon. Rumors have swirled for months,... Read more...
Time sure flies, doesn't it? We are about to ring in a brand new year, and as we do so, the release of Grand Theft Auto V is now more than six years old (and is fast approaching five years on PC). Given the time that has elapsed, it is certainly possible (maybe even plausible) that Rockstar Games is deep in development on Grand Theft Auto VI. To that end, a supposed QA tester claims to have the skinny on the next installment. We should preface this information with a disclaimer. There is no way of knowing if the supposed QA tester is what the person claims to be, or if any of the leaked details are accurate. All we know is that it's been a long time since the last Grand Theft Auto gaming (though... Read more...
Rockstar is on a roll and doing extremely well thanks to the smash hit Red Dead Redemption 2 that has moved 23 million copies as of February 2019. That game is tipped to be in the works for the PC, and some are expecting at least one big announcement at E3 2019 this summer from the game developer. A new rumor is making the rounds that Rockstar will have something that will blindside fans to announce at E3 2019. The rumor started on Reddit with a user named Thirdeyereddit who claimed to be a Take-Two employee. Take-Two is the parent company of Rockstar Games. According to the Reddit user who claims to be "lower on the food chain," Take-Two was working on a landing page for something unannounced.... Read more...
GTA fans will be sad to read this latest rumor about the future of the franchise. According to sources claiming to know the plans at Rockstar, the next game in the franchise, widely expected to be called Grand Theft Auto 6, won't launch for years to come. Specifically, the launch is tipped for 2022, four years into the future. Along with the tip on when the game might launch also comes rumor about where the game will be set. The game is said to be set again in the Rockstar version of south Florida called Vice City. The original Grand Theft Auto Vice City has been a favorite with gamers for the nearly perfect 1980's atmosphere that it provided complete with great music and nods to classic TV shows... Read more...
