The Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 team has offered a new development update on the game this week, and it's a short one. One of the critical bits of information in the update is that the anticipated Partnership Series Update, which is the last postpone deliverable, should land on June 11. Developers say that the team is working hard to deliver the next installment of the Partnership Series on that date. The wording "working hard to deliver" details on June 11 seems to give the developers a little bit of wiggle room if things don't go as planned. Assuming the update does land next week, details about the partners contributing to the game will be revealed. Microsoft has said in the past that... Read more...
The developers working on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 have offered up their May 7 development update and have put an exact date on when Episode 8 (IFR) will be released. IFR will be coming to the alpha version of the flight simulator on May 28. For those who may not know, IFR stands for Instrument Flight Rules, and in general aviation, IFR flight is used when pilots know they will be flying in conditions where they can't rely on visual navigation and landmarks for their flight. Instead, they rely entirely on instruments inside the cockpit for navigation and safe flight. IFR is used when the aircraft may operate in IMC (instrument meteorological conditions), meaning the pilot can't see anything... Read more...

Recently, the Airbus A320 was launched, and... Read more...
Microsoft has interrupted its usual weekly update schedule for Flight Simulator 2020 to give us information on system requirements for the game. This announcement comes less than a week after Microsoft delivered the 1.2.10 alpha build to testers, which includes the Airbus A320neo. The system requirements, which are listed below, are neatly broken down into Minimum, Recommended, and Ideal specifications for PC users. And to make things even more crystal clear, Microsoft further distinguishes between gamers using AMD or NVIDIA hardware. Regardless of what hardware is running in your system, you will need to have at least the Windows 10 November 2019 Update (v1909) installed. When it comes... Read more...
The developers behind Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 have issued the latest development update for the highly anticipated video game. One of the biggest questions that the developers address right off the bat is if new alpha invites are going out with the latest version of the Alpha 1.2.5.0 launching this week. Unfortunately, the answer at this time is no. The team says that with the alpha having launched on April 1, they are focused on addressing issues with the download and the install of the updated build. According to developers, that process will be complete in about a week, and at that point, it will assess current alpha participation. Developers also offered an update on postponed deliverables...
