More Synthetic CPU and Memory Benchmarks

"The CPU test suite is a collection of tests that are run to isolate the performance of the CPU. The CPU Test Suite also includes multithreading: two of the test scenarios are run multithreaded; the other including two simultaneous tests and the other running four tests simultaneously. The remaining six tests are run single threaded. Operations include, File Compression/Decompression, Encryption/Decryption, Image Decompression, and Audio Compression" - Courtesy FutureMark Corp.

CPU performance with the Systemax Sabre was on par with our X6800 custom test bed.  The Sabre was only off by 6 points, which essentially left the two systems neck-in-neck.  The closest Athlon based system was the Voodoo Omen which runs an Athlon FX-60 overclocked at 2.95Hz with dual Radeon X1900XTs in Crossfire mode.

We saw a slightly wider gap with memory performance, where the Sabre lagged our X6800 test system by 74 points.  Once again, the closest Athlon based system was the overclocked Voodoo Omen, which trailed the Sabre by 1200 points.  Considering the Omen retailed for close to $6000, the differences are significant.
