Systemax Sabre Intel Core 2 Extreme Gaming PC
Performance Analysis and Conclusion
Benchmark And Performance Analysis: Looking back at the overall performance of the Systemax Sabre Intel Core 2 Extreme Gaming PC, we can sum it up in one word - Fast. The Sabre was a top performer in each one of our tests, delivering comparable performance to our X6800 powered test bed. Additionally, the Sabre managed to beat all of the Athlon based comparison systems, often by a sizable margin.
We opened up this article asking, "What's in a name?" And as we bring things to a close, we can concluded that the Systemax Sabre Intel Core 2 Extreme Gaming PC lived up to it's name. Loaded with cutting edge hardware, the Sabre managed to deliver top-end performance in all of our tests, often beating significantly more expensive machines easily. There is no denying the performance of the Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800 processor. Backed with ample memory, fast graphics cards, and super fast RAID 0 with dual 10K RPM drives, the Sabre made quite a performance statement.
When evaluating its overall feature set, the Systemax Sabre Intel Core 2 Extreme Gaming PC is equally impressive. That's not to say the Sabre didn't have its shortcomings, such as no second Ethernet connection, a lack of a totally tool-less design, and what we consider to be poor placement of one of the hard drives. Nonetheless, in the bigger picture, these negatives are generally minor in scope. The Red Dragon case proved to be an excellent enclosure with plenty of cooling for all components, that also sported a clean, well thought out layout backed by a slick "red" theme.
Complementing the Systemax Sabre Intel Core 2 Extreme Gaming PC was the Razer "Anarchy Red" Copperhead Gaming Mouse and Saitek "Special Edition" Red Illuminated Gaming Keyboard. The addition of these two items are icing on the cake. Both components had a good, quality feel that makes going back to a standard keyboard and mouse difficult.
