Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Review

Performance: GPU

To get a feel for how graphics performance on the Note Edge compares to other devices, we used GFXBench, which has been one of our standard graphics performance benchmarks for a while. In order to ensure Vsynch and resolution isn’t a limiting factor, we will compare offscreen test results. We also used Futuremark's 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited benchmark.

The Note Edge tops the Nexus 6 in the 1080p Fillrate Offscreen test as well as the T Rex test, proving that its graphical prowess is nothing to scoff at. As you'd expect, it ran fairly neck-and-neck with the Note 4, which boasts the same internal components.

Using the Unlimited version of 3DMark Ice Storm, the Note Edge scored amongst the top of its class. Not quite at the very top, but certainly not too shabby. For a phone aimed at on-the-go businesspeople, it's still clear that the handset is quite capable of handling the latest games.
