When Google announced the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in early August, the company said that the flagship smartphones would be powered by an in-house designed Tensor SoC. Unfortunately, Google didn't provide us with any specifications for the chip, other than that Samsung would manufacture it. Now, thanks to leaker Digital Chat Station, we're learning that Tensor could be a performance powerhouse thanks to its core configuration compared to existing flagship SoCs like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The Snapdragon 888 features a single Cortex-X1 prime core clocked at 2.84GHz, three additional Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.42GHz, and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores that can run at... Google recently launched its Pixel 5a mid-range 5G smartphone a few weeks ago, but the company isn't done yet. It still has to release the flagship Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the flag bearers for the upcoming Android 12 operating system. It goes on to say that the Pixel 6 is constantly "learning, evolving and adapting" to your needs. We should also mention that Google's... Read more...

The black bar bisects a two-tone colored finish on the back, which is a nice break from the monotony that has encompassed smartphone design in recent years. Google's... Read more...

However, there is already talk about what’s coming after Vega; and that is Navi. Up until this point, not much has been said about Navi architecture, other than vague descriptions citing “scalability” and “next generation memory”. Other than that, we’ve been told that Navi will be built on a 7nm FinFET process when it launches next year. Today, however, a new report is suggesting that Navi will be the first GPU from AMD with circuity that is dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) operations. According to Fudzilla, Raja Koduri’s Radeon Technologies... Read more...
