Eurocom P5 Pro Review, Taking Devil's Canyon Mobile
Preloaded Software
Eurocom keeps the P5 Pro bloatware-free, but it preloads a few worthwhile applications. I like Eurocom’s choices, but if you don’t, you’ll find they’re easy enough to ignore.
The main screen is just as barren as it should be, with a slick Eurocom background. The Apps page is equally free of clutter. The most interesting application on the system is the keyboard profile tool, which gives you a boatload of customization options. You can choose virtually any color (or colors) for the keyboard backlighting and you can save them (along with custom macros) to profiles. I’m not a huge fan of pulsing keyboard lights, there are plenty of options for those who are, though. The software has a clean, easy-to-use interface.
The other application of note is the Killer Network Manager, thanks to the P5 Pro’s Killer wireless adapter. It lets you monitor and manage application activity and has a nice System Performance tool that tracks network usage, signal strength, and other stats. It also sends you to Ookla when you want to test your network connection.
