Kids these days are enamored with LeBron James, but he's not the greatest ever—sorry, not sorry. If you want to debate the G.O.A.T. in basketball, I'll accept several other candidates, including Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, and of course his Airness, Michael Jordan. Microsoft and Nike chose the latter to don a custom themed Xbox One X game console, and it is up for grabs. The themed console is part of a giveaway on Twitter. Entering is simple—all you have to do follow @xbox (so you can be notified via DM if you win) and retweet the designated Twitter post with the hashtag #Xboxsweepstakes. There are no other hoops to jump through, just a simple retweet puts you... Read more...

Keep in mind that the bundle includes not only the copy of the game, but the extra white controller meaning two controllers total in the package. Last summer, Microsoft initially launched its Xbox All Access financing program for Xbox One purchases. Instead of paying the full upfront costs for an Xbox One S or Xbox One X console, those payments could be financed monthly over a 24-month period with Xbox All Access. Now that the holiday season is starting to ramp up again, Microsoft is burning back Xbox All Access. Like before, the bundle includes the Xbox One hardware along with a 24-month membership to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The base bundle with an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition costs $19.99/month, while stepping up to the Xbox One S will set you back $22.99/month. If you want a flagship Xbox One X, that cost balloons to $30.99... Read more...
Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been highly anticipated as a gritty reboot of the combat series that is dripping with gorgeous graphical effects (especially on the PC side with ray tracing enabled). However, last night's official launch of the game was not without problems. Besides the usual servers crashes that gamers should expect with thousands of players trying to hop online all at once, Xbox One X gamers have been especially plagued with issues. There is currently a reddit thread devoted to incessant crashing on the Xbox One X console. The thread currently has over 2,000 comments and over 27,000 upvotes as Xbox One X gamers are expressing their frustrations... Read more...

Gamers who have been holing out for prices on the Xbox One X to go down before they jump into 4K gaming might want to take advantage now. Newegg has the Xbox One X bundle that includes a single controller and a copy of the maligned Fallout 76 game for $349.99, which is a $150 discount off the normal $499 price. That makes this Newegg deal significantly better than the best price we saw during Black Friday at Walmart for $399. The only caveat is you have to be able to live with paying Bethesda some loot for the stinker of a game that is Fallout 76. Bethesda is still working on the game, but so far no significant improvements have been seen. Bethesda has promised better communication with fans... Read more...

Some Xbox gamers who received a shiny new Xbox One X for Christmas and a copy of Black Ops 4 have discovered something very annoying. Reports have surfaced that the game on the Xbox One X console is crashing when players near the end of a match. Treyarch has now stepped up and confirmed the problem and says that it is actively working on a fix for the crash issue. This isn't the first complaint from gamers that Treyarch has had to address. In October it also had to confront complaints about server performance. Treyarch took to Twitter to try and calm owners of the game facing the crash issue. Treyarch said that it was aware of an "intermittent freeze issue during late-game play in Blackout."... Read more...

This week, however, Microsoft announced that it is ending the Xbox All Access program on December 31st. Gamers on the fence about taking advantage of the deal have until the end of the year to make up their minds. Larry Hryb tweeted that an expanded program would be launching in 2019.
