Fortnite fans have a new version of the Deadpool skin that can be unlocked this week by completing the Deadpool Week 9 challenges. One of the challenges asks players to find Deadpool's shorts, and the other has them saluting Deadpool's pants. Once those are accomplished, players will unlock the Deadpool X-Force color variant for the skin that matches up with the other available X-Force skins. With respect to Deadpool's shorts, they can be found on the main HQ screen without having to drop into a match. The shorts are on the armchair in the middle of Midas' room. Players can click the shorts when they see them, and the challenge is complete. The second Deadpool challenge will require players to... Read more...

It's Friday, which can only mean one thing: more Deadpool challenges in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2. Deadpool is a hot property right now thanks no doubt to Ryan Reynolds’ pitch perfect encapsulation of the wisecracking Marvel superhero, and Epic Games is taking full advantage of that popularity. This week, Deadpool is actually fully visible in the open in his secret bathroom hideout (last week, we could just see his feet under the closed bathroom stall door). Deadpool can be seen sitting on his epic mound of [thankfully unused] toilet paper in front of his computer. Not surprisingly, he's playing Fortnite with a controller in-hand. If you click on the computer itself, you'll... Read more...
Fortnite fans know that Deadpool is now merrily a part of the game for Chapter 2, Season 2. However, to be able to unlock the Deadpool skin, players need to complete a series of challenges each week with those challenges handed out by the foul-mouthed superhero himself, or at least by his computer. The first challenge this week is finding a letter that Deadpool wrote to Epic Games. The letter can be found in Deadpool's secret lair, which can be accessed from the battle pass screen. When on the battle pass screen, the characters are sitting around in what appears to be an evil super hero or villain hideout from a James Bond movie. Near the staircase to the right is a duct with a fan in it that... Read more...
Computers have long been used in Hollywood to add special effects to movies, but the level of realism that can be achieved with today's technology is nothing short of astounding. Keep that in mind when you go watch Deadpool, and in particular pay close attention to the 90-second title sequence. From start to finish, that entire scene was created in CG (computer graphics). As you might imagine, some serious graphics horsepower is required for that amount of detail and realism, and NVIDIA is quick to point out that its Maxwell-based Quadro M6000 GPUs did the bulk of the heavy lifting (from a hardware perspective). They were part of a series of HP Z840 workstations that CG artists from Blur Studios... Read more...
Are moviegoers trying of a seemingly relentless stream of comic book movies headed to theaters? If Deadpool’s release is any indication, the answer is an enthusiastic “Hell No!” Deadpool had a rather meager (at least compared to other superhero movies) $58 million budget and was originally projected to bring in $65 million to $70 million during Presidents Day weekend. However, the raucous movie absolutely obliterated studio and analyst expectations, tallying an astounding $135 million during the Friday to Sunday period (domestic box office). Not only did Deadpool surpass all studio expectations, even securing a sequel before the movie actually opened in theaters, but it did so with an R-rating.... Read more...
