For quite some time, popular battle royale game Fortnite has enjoyed crossover events with characters from other IPs and movies. It is about time for Call of Duty to get on that action, and it is happening in an explosive way with ‘80s action heroes coming to Verdansk. Players will be able to play as John McClane or Rambo across Call of Duty Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Mobile in this upcoming mid-season update. Starting today, the ‘80s Action Heroes event comes with a variety of limited-time content bundles and game modes alongside weapons, maps and other new features. To kick things off first, highly decorated MACV-SOG soldier John Rambo is coming as an operator in the “Rambo”... Read more...
This week, Activision slipped up and sold a new crossbow weapon for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, which some players spent real money on. Now, the company has pulled the weapon and promised refunds, but some players are irate about the turn of events. On March 18th, a bundle with a blueprint for the R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow was sold in the Warzone store for 1200 COD points, which is around $12. Though patch notes did not mention the bow, many still bought the weapon and used it in Black Ops Cold War. The crossbow base version was also usable in Black Ops Cold War and was unlockable by completing a challenge that required three One Shot, One Kill medals in 15 separate games. That... Read more...
How big will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it's Warzone spin-off, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ultimately get before all is said and done? Even Activision may not have a definitive answer to that question. However, the publisher did warn that the latest update could prove too bulky for some base model PlayStation 4 console owners, who may have to delete some content to make room. Activision has begun pushing out the Season Two update, and like previous ones, it requires a lot of storage space. So much, in fact, that Activision issued a warning to PS4 owners. "Those who own a standard PlayStation 4 with a default hard drive of 500GB may need to make room if they have the full versions... Read more...

This might be the all time jinx, but about the only thing that has not occurred in 2020 so far is a real-life zombie outbreak (knock on wood). Would you really be surprised if it happened at this point, though? Neither would we. Be that as it may, zombies are coming, but to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War sometime after it launches next month. This was all but a foregone conclusion, considering the popular game mode has been a staple of the Call of Duty franchise for over a decade. It dates back to Call of Duty: World at War from 2008, followed by the Call of Duty: Zombies spinoff a year later. And as expected, there will be a zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, with Activision... Read more...
In case you missed it, Activision dropped the first cinematic trailer for its upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game, which is a direct sequel to the original Black Ops title. It looks intriguing, to the say the least. If you want to get early access the open beta, one way to do that is pre-order the game (any edition). Ronald Reagan is president, tensions with the Soviet Union are uncomfortably high, and the global population at large is threatened by the reality that a nuclear war could break out at any moment. The world has already lived through this scenario, and it is happening once again, though thankfully this time it is just the setting for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which launches in a few months. Raven Software is working on the game's immersive single-player campaign, while Treyarch is handling the multiplayer experience. Ahead of the game's release, publisher Activision shared the first cinematic trailer, and it is certainly gripping. Have a look (you can watch in up to 4K)... "Taking place... Read more...
It looks like the next Call of Duty game will take a step back in history. As is now tradition, the next game’s name has already leaked. It was recently revealed that the upcoming game will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Leaker “Okami” posted what appears to be the cover art of the next Call of Duty game on Twitter.
