Microsoft Lumia 950 Review: Spearheading Windows 10 Mobile

Next, we'll take a look at how the Microsoft Lumia 950 compare to other smartphones by examining a few benchmarks that are currently available online or in the Windows 10 Mobile Marketplace.

First, let’s take a look at the JetStream JavaScript benchmark, which has recently replaced SunSpider in our suite of browsing tests (though we include SunSpider here too, for reference). According to the JetStream website:

The Lumia 950 performed relatively well in the JetStream benchmark, falling in between the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Moto X Pure edition. That's a pretty good pace considering there's "only" a SnapDragon 808 in the phone.

We've included some results from SunSpider for reference as well. Here, the Lumia 950's performance falls somewhere in the middle of the pack, in-line with flagship phones from last year.

Things take a turn for the worse in the BrowserMark benchmark -- sort of. In this test, the Lumia 950 performs like Galaxy S6, which is pretty good. But smartphones with better optimized mobile browsers are capable of much higher scores, as evidenced by the Lumia 950's position in the chart.
