Next up, we’ve got some benchmark scores from FarCry 5, the latest installment in the storied franchise. Like its predecessors, FarCry 5 is a fast-action shooter set in an open world environment with lush visuals and high graphics fidelity. The game takes place in a fictional county in Montana, where a cult has taken over control of the area. We tested all of the graphics cards here at multiple resolutions using Ultra Quality settings to see how they handled this recently-released AAA title.

The EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 XC nudged past the RTX 2060, but actually finished slightly behind the GeForce GTX 1080 at 4K. At 1080P, however, the XC and 1080 put up identical numbers.

Freshly Updated With DLSS Support
Deep Learning Super Sampling, or DLSS, is one of the GeForce RTX series’ stand-out features. When employed, DLSS should offer image quality on par with or better than other anti-aliasing techniques, but with a much smaller performance hit.

Obviously, we only have DLSS scores on the GeForce RTX series cards, since the others don't support it, and there's an definitive cadence in the results. The EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 XC finishes ever so slightly ahead of the NVIDIA card, but behind the higher-end RTX 2070 and 2080 cards.

Even before being exposed to the Commodore P.E.T. and later the Commodore 64 in the early ‘80s, he was interested in electricity and electronics, and he still has the modded AFX cars and shop-worn soldering irons to prove it. Once he got his hands on his own Commodore 64, however, computing became Marco's passion. Throughout his academic and professional lives, Marco has worked with virtually every major platform from the TRS-80 and Amiga, to today's high end, multi-core servers.
