Both the
RADEON 9100 IGP and 865G register similar processor
performance as we'd expect, but the 865G memory controller
appears to be slightly more efficient. ATI confirms
that the IGP's memory controller has been identified as an
area where more performance can be had, so expect the
final product to feature increased throughput.

ATI gets
another leg up, despite an un-optimized memory
controller. We'd only expect performance here to
improve as ATI makes final adjustments to the silicon.

Winstone isn't as graphically intensive as some of the
other metrics run thus far. So, if there were a
sport we'd expect the 9100 IGP to lag, this would be
it. Hopefully, as ATI makes improvements to the
memory controller, the 9100 will at least normalize to
Intel's 865G platform.
