Next we benchmarked with Half-Life 2 and a custom recorded time demo that takes us along a cliff and through a few dilapidated shacks in an area of the "Coastal" map, battling enemies throughout. These tests were run at low res and low graphical detail, to allow the CPUs to run flat out and not be held back by graphics subsystem performance.

The P4 EE is neck and neck with the Athlon 64 4000+ but the 3.6GHz Prescott CPU falls behind by 13 - 15 fps. However, comparing "apples to apples", the Asus P5AD2-E shows its muscle versus the Intel i925XE motherboard, also besting it by about 14 fps as well.
