AMD Radeon Pro W7900 And W7800 Review: Potent Pro-Vis Graphics Punch
AMD Radeon Pro W7900 And W7800: SPECviewperf, VR, DXR And 8K/4K RAW Video Tests
SPECviewperf 2020 v3.1 OpenGL / DX Benchmarks
VR & Ray Tracing Benchmarks
The Radeon Pro W7900 continues its winning ways VRMark, clearly outgunning all of the other cards. The Radeon Pro W7800 also perform well, and essentially finishes right on top of the RTX A6000, but well out in front of the W6800.
This particular benchmark is laser-focused on DXR Ray Tracing performance and shows NVIDIA's advantage in this regard. The Radeon Pro W7900 can't catch the Ampere-generation A6000, and the W7800 simply falls further behind. The Radeon Pro W7900 And W7800 crush the W6800, however.
Blackmagic RAW Speed Test Results
The Blackmagic RAW Speed Test is a CPU and GPU benchmarking tool that tests the speed of decoding full-resolution Blackmagic RAW frames. The tool can be used to evaluate the performance at various resolutions and bitrates on the CPU or using OpenCL on a GPU. We're reporting two results here, both at an 8K resolution, but at differing bitrates and compression levels. The Blackmagic RAW speed test also illustrates NVIDIA's advantage with RAW image decoding. The NVIDIA card offers 2X the performance here and the Radeon Pro W7900 And W7800 finish right on top of each other, a few percentage points ahead of the previous-gen Radeon Pro W6800.
