Acer Swift 3 Laptop Review: Affordable And Accelerated With Optane

Futuremark’s well-known 3DMark benchmark suite features tests that target different types of computing devices. We opted for the Cloud Gate and Sky Diver tests, for which we have plenty of comparison data, but also as light-duty 3D graphics and gaming benchmarks that are well-suited to thin and light laptops. Sky Diver is a bit more strenuous, but still well within the limits of our test group.

The Intel UHD 620 graphics engine in the Acer Swift 3 is by no means a gaming juggernaut. In our testing the UHD 620 performed right where it should in Cloud Gate and Sky Diver with scores of 7660 and 4725, respectively. Scores like these are very middle of the road in terms of IGP performance, so few newer games will run smoothly, even at low settings. Games such as Fortnite should run fine at low settings, but most triple-A titles won't. Though, for light-duty or retro-gaming, it'll get the job done.
