Google's new Pixel Buds launched recently for $179, with new features that fans of the original Buds will appreciate. One key feature of these smart earbuds that wasn't mentioned when the product was announced has now been confirmed, and the feature is an important one. The new Pixel Buds will receive their own "feature drops" just as Google does for its line of Pixel smartphones. That means that over time the Buds will get key firmware updates that will bring new features. Google confirmed these feature drops to Forbes, but it offered no details on when the first feature drop would land or what might be included in the drop when it does launch. Google did confirm that the Pixel Buds drops would... Read more...

It's unknown if there are two separate models of the Buds coming, or if the two different numbers represent the earphones and the charging case. A short description seen at Bluetooth SIG promises rich audio, clear calls, and hands-free Google Assistant. They also promise a customized fit and ambient vent to keep you in touch... Read more...

Well, according to notorious gadget leaker Evan Blass, we can count on a second generation of Pixel Buds headphones. The current Pixel Buds were introduced last year as Google's take on wireless earbuds. Pixel Buds integrate with the Google Translate app on Pixel smartphones, and it features rather robust Google Assistant integration. There's no word on what features that will be included with... One of the coolest features of the newly announced Google Pixel Buds is that they can translate 40 languages on-the-fly. Such juggling of language between people typically requires professional translators. Pixel Buds have the Google Translate software built right in and promise to translate languages just as if they are spoken in your native tongue. With a pair of earbuds selling for $159, should professional translators be worried? Business Insider asked that question to some professional translators,... Read more...
