Yahoo announced today that limited public beta of interoperability between Yahoo Messenger and Microsoft Live Messenger will begin. This combined effort between Yahoo and Microsoft will create the world's largest consumer instant messaging community, with almost 350 million accounts. Once cross-communication between the two services has been fully implemented, Yahoo Messenger users will be able to send instant messages to Live Messenger users, and visa versa. AGP was supposed to fade away after the insurgence of PCI Express, wasn't it? Well yes, it was and it will in time, but as we're showing you today you can still breathe some new life into an aging AGP based system, thanks to NVIDIA. While PCI Express is the current interface of choice for new graphics products, the existing installed base of AGP equipped systems is huge. The Inquirer reports that AMD has just announced their answer to Intel's ViiV multimedia campaign. Dubbed AMD Live!, this new brand will be found on various upcoming multimedia desktops and notebooks. With both AMD and Intel pushing hard on this new front, it should be interesting to see how the market reacts.AMD said that it will extend the AMD Live!
