Updated 7/5/2019 @ 11:14pm AMD has officially confirmed the updated pricing posted in our original article below. AMD was sittin' pretty with its Radeon RX 5700 series of graphics cards which were first announced back in early June. At the time, they were billed as value-priced alternatives to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 and GeForce RTX 2070 with starting prices of $379. However, the GeForce RTX 2060 Super and GeForce RTX 2070 Super launches have completely upset AMD's big Navi debut. The Super cards are offering anywhere from a 10 percent to 20 percent performance boost over their predecessors at competitive price points (read the HotHardware review here). In other words,... Earlier today, we presented you with our review of the GeForce RTX 2060 Super and GeForce RTX 2070 Super. You can think of both cards as a preemptive strike against the yet-to-be-released Radeon RX 5700, Radeon RX 5700 XT and Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition.  Although we suggest that you read our review to get a full idea of how the new Super cards perform, there should probably be some cause for concern from the AMD camp. With that being said, the first round of cards from NVIDIA's OEM partners have been announced, and should be hitting store shelves within the next few weeks. This afternoon, we have entries from EVGA, MSI and Zotac. You should already be familiar... Read more...
NVIDIA dropped a hint that something “Super” was coming just prior to Computex and since then a handful of leaks have let the cat mostly out of the bag. Today, however, we can dispel the rumors, officially reveal what NVIDIA’s got coming down the pipeline, and show you exactly what NVIDIA’s Super branding is all about. NVIDIA is overhauling its Turing-based GeForce RTX line-up with an array of “Super” GPUs, specifically the GeForce RTX 2060 Super, RTX 2070 Super, and RTX 2080 Super. In the short term, like two days from now, the GeForce RTX 2060 Super and RTX 2070 Super will hit store shelves. The GeForce RTX 2080 Super is coming in a few weeks though, and... Read more...
The GeForce RTX SUPER and Radeon RX 5700 family of graphics cards are right around the corner, which means that gamers will have a number of new graphics cards to choose from when building a new rig (or upgrading an existing one). Thankfully, we’re getting an early look at how performance is shaping up for two of these soon-to-be-launched graphics cards thanks to a benchmark leak.  The graphics cards in question are the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER and the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, while both cards were benchmarked in Final Fantasy XV at 2560x1440 resolution with the High quality preset. Before we get to the numbers, we have to realize that these are probably pre-release cards... Read more...
There have been a lot of SUPER rumors making the rounds over the past month, with the most recent one indicating that the cards would be announced this week. Now a new rumor claims to have pricing details for the entire lineup of NVIDIA GeForce RTX SUPER graphics cards. At the top of the GPU heap is the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, which is expected to have an MSRP of $799. This is the exact same price as the current GeForce RTX 2080, but the SUPER variant will have more CUDA cores and higher clocks which would make it an even better value. Next up is the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, which will reportedly debut at $599. Again, this is the same launch price as the GeForce RTX 2070, with performance... Read more...
NVIDIA has something "SUPER" in store for gaming enthusiasts. The company first teased SUPER in the days leading up to Computex 2019, but made no announcements pertaining to this new branding. Over the past few weeks, reports have zeroed in on SUPER referring to a refresh of the GeForce RTX family that was first introduced last fall. A new report is now shedding light on when we might actually see these new GPUs. According to VideoCardz and WCCFTech, NVIDIA is set to announce the new SUPER family as early as next week. However, the report indicates that cards wouldn't actually be available for sale until mid-July. As for pricing, it's expected that the new SUPER... Read more...
