We had boots on the ground again at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and we of course ran across a number of stellar products that will hopefully be making their way to consumers this year. Even though we saw literally hundreds of exciting new tech products and gear at CES 2020 this year, a few stood out that were near and dear to our hearts, and we think will be for you as well.  This year's CES was punctuated with lots of burgeoning new technologies from AI bots, to 8K TVs and all new mobile PC platforms. In fact, we were encouraged and impressed at the pace of innovation this year, especially in the PC and gaming arenas. To be honest, sometimes CES shows can be real... Read more...
We saw plenty of interesting tech last week at CES, so we’d be remiss if we left out some of the cool wares that we saw from our friends at CyberPowerPC. If you’ve seen Paul’s review of the small form factor (SFF) Syber Vapor, you already know part of the story for the new Syber C Series. The C Series uses a similar internal chassis design as the Vapor, but features improved ventilation along with better customization and upgrade options. Syber C Series When it comes to specs, the C Series is of course powered by Skylake processor paired with DDR4 memory. You’ll have... Read more...

What does your desktop PC say about you? Is your system hiding by your feet and used only for serious business? Is it sitting on the corner of your desk with its window facing the wall because it’s just easier to reach its inputs that way? Or is taking up a third of your workspace with LEDs blazing, screaming “Fire me up!"? If your system falls into the latter category, or better yet, you'd like to have a system in the latter group, you’re the target audience for CyberPower’s new Trinity. Many system builders give lip service to balancing style and performance, but the Trinity’s chassis demands it. The Deepcool Tristellar case used for this system separates the PC’s guts into three distinct “blades.”... Read more...
It feels as though we’ve been talking about Valve’s Steam Machine consoles for ages, there’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel. The official launch, however, will take place nearly one month later on November 10. The first two hardware partners to offer Steam Machines — Alienware and Cyberpower — should come as no surprise to anyone that keeps even a half-open eye on the gaming scene. As we’ve previously discussed, all Steam Machines run SteamOS, which is Valve’s home-brewed... Read more...

CyberPower has been in overdrive this Spring, pumping out the Syber Vapor, which we reviewed earlier this month, and now the Trinity, a system that puts a new spin on the traditional gaming PC design. It’s one of the most eye-catching computers we’ve seen in a long time, and it’s loaded with high-end gaming hardware. The Trinity is made up of three blades, each of which contains components. One blade, dubbed the “CPU Blade,” houses a mini ITX motherboard and as much as 16GB of memory. The “Performance Blade” handles graphics (including full-size graphics cards) and has room for SSDs. The “Storage Blade” has additional room for hard drives and SSDs, as well as an optical drive and an ATX power... Read more...
Had things gone to plan, Steam Machines would be a shipping product by now. However, Valve threw a wrench into the works when it decided that more time was needed to tweak its custom Linux-based Steam OS and fine tune the platform's accompanying Steam Controller. That decision left several partnering OEMs and boutique system builders in limbo, as they had already put in the necessary R&D to develop living room boxes that would serve as official Steam Machines. Hence a new category was born -- the PC gaming console. Systems like the Syber Vapor are full-fledged PCs stuffed inside console-sized cases that could have and would have served as Steam Machines. Since they lack Steam OS, they're... Read more...

The field of ultrabooks is getting bigger by the day and it’s not enough anymore to just put a system on the market with refreshed specs. System builders are looking for ways to differentiate their ultrabooks, and to that end, CyberPower is touting the customization options. Customers can pick from multiple options for several components when “building” the laptop at CyberPower’s website. The Zeus-M starts off with an Intel Core i5-3317U Ivy Bridge dual-core CPU and HM77 chipset. A 60GB SSD handles data storage and 8GB of memory round out the system. The laptop has a 14.1-inch display and comes in at under an inch thick. CyberPower says the laptop weighs less... Read more...

Our friends at CyberPowerPC were showing off some seriously decked-out gaming rigs this year at CES 2012.  We've always had good experiences with their products here in the lab and the systems on display at CES showcased very impressive build quality, immaculate wire-routing along with impeccable pipe-work for their water cooling setups.  On display were several systems, including the rather bad-ass Fang III Series Black Mamba; a monster of a system that's super-charged with an over-the-top component configuration.  We'll get to that big fella in a moment or two. First let's show you something a bit more mainstream, if you want to call it that. CyberPower took... Read more...

It didn't take long for the system builders over at CyberPower PC to pounce on Nvidia's brand new dual-GPU GeForce GTX 590. This is the card gaming enthusiasts have been waiting for, the one Nvidia touts as the "fastest graphics card on the planet" (be sure to read our in-depth review of the GTX 590, in which we put that claim to the test), so naturally CyberPower PC saw fit to design a new series of high-end desktops around Nvidia's flagship GPU. Perhaps the coolest thing about this announcement is the cost of entry. CyberPower says you can step up to a GeForce GTX 590 equipped rig starting at $1,500, but we were able to configure one for even less. The Gamer Xtreme 1000, for example, costs... Read more...
