CyberPower Breaks Out Trinity Gaming PC With Three-Blade, Imperial Shuttle-Esque Design
CyberPower has been in overdrive this Spring, pumping out the Syber Vapor, which we reviewed earlier this month, and now the Trinity, a system that puts a new spin on the traditional gaming PC design. It’s one of the most eye-catching computers we’ve seen in a long time, and it’s loaded with high-end gaming hardware.
The Trinity is made up of three blades, each of which contains components. One blade, dubbed the “CPU Blade,” houses a mini ITX motherboard and as much as 16GB of memory. The “Performance Blade” handles graphics (including full-size graphics cards) and has room for SSDs. The “Storage Blade” has additional room for hard drives and SSDs, as well as an optical drive and an ATX power supply. CyberPower routes cables through the “hollow hexagonal steel spine” of the Trinity and says that it can include liquid cooling in the system’s ample storage space.
CyberPower is offering the Trinity with AMD or Intel processors and graphics. The Trinity 100 ($995) is the AMD system, with an AMD A10-7700K CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti. The Trinity 200, on the other hand, has an Intel Core i5-4690K processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 graphics for $1,339. And the monster of the pack is the Trinity XTREME, which feature an Intel Core i7-5820K CPU and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970, along with 16GB of memory on an ASRock X99E-ITX/AC motherboard.
All of the systems run Windows 8.1 and include three year warranties. We were excited about the Trinity when CyberPower gave us a tour at CES earlier this year. Now that it’s here, we’ll have to take one for a spin and see if the Trinity’s performance matches its killer design.
