Futuremark benchmarks have been the go-to system tests since the late ‘90s. We ran the
HP OMEN Obelisk through PCMark 10, which is designed to gauge the system performance in everyday use case scenarios with GPU acceleration-enabled, while 3DMark tests its gaming chops.

PCMark10 provides productivity, communications and content creation use case test scenarios with real world applications. The HP OMEN Obelisk puts up a good fight against the 18-core behemoth-packing Alienware Area-51. It shows that more cores aren’t necessarily always better and the Obelisk is a solid, productive system.
