nForce 4 SLI Motherboard Round-Up

DFI LANParty NF4 SLI-DR: Specifications & Bundle

Like the Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI, the DFI LANParty NF4 SLI-DR ships with such a large accessory bundle, it's packaged in an oversized box that's filled with a variety of extras. In the past couple of years, since the introduction of their LANParty line of products, DFI has built a reputation for offering feature-rich and overclocker-friendly motherboards, that strike a nice balance between price, performance, and features.  It seems to us that DFI wants to bolster that reputation with the LANParty NF4 SLI-DR.  This motherboard offers some features not currently found on any competing products.

Included with the LANParty NF4 SLI-DR, we found an impressive assortment of items meant to appeal to LAN gamers who frequently travel with their systems, or to enthusiasts who just like to show off their system's internals. Included with the board itself, we found a rounded 80-Wire IDE cable, a single rounded floppy cable and two yellow SATA cables. We also found a pair of Dual-SATA-to-Molex power adapters, an SLI connector to linking a pair of NVIDIA graphics cards, and a chip-removal tool that helps aid in the removal of the jumper-blocks used to configure this board.  There was also a detailed Quick Reference poster and three user's manuals included with the LANParty NF4 SLI-DR, in addition to a DFI case badge, a large "LANPARTY" decal, and a custom I/O shield complete with a color-coded sticker that labels all of the ports. Driver floppies and a driver CD-ROM are also bundled with the board as well, along with a UV reactive cable sleaving kit and a couple of other goodies.  DFI included a set of FrontX Multimedia ports, that bring audio, SATA, and Firewire connectors, and four diagnostic LEDs to the front of a system, and a "PC Transpo" that makes carrying a system and its accessories much easier.  The "PC Transpo" wraps around just about any mini- or mid-tower case, giving it a sturdy handle, which makes it much easier to transport from location to location.
