Lenovo Phab 2 Pro Review: The First Tango Augmented Reality Smartphone

Lenovo Phab 2 Pro Browser Performance

Smart phones are ever increasingly becoming the way people access the Web. A current generation device needs to have a responsive web browser to render complex pages quickly, and a reliable WiFi or cellular connection to ensure content is downloaded as fast as possible.

We can’t easily measure how well the radios perform in these phones, as variables like carrier signals and network congestion are difficult to lock down. However, we can investigate browser performance. For our tests here we use the JetStream benchmark for Javascript and RightWare’s Web Test 3.0 for comprehensive web performance analysis, including HTML5.

The Jetstream Javascript processing scores were specifically tightly grouped among the Android devices we've tested. The Rightware Web 3 test, however, shows more of a spread with its heavier graphics rendering workload. Regardless, it's safe to say the Phab 2 Pro will deliver a quality web browsing experience, generally speaking.

Let's look at more strenuous testing, next...
