With regard to battery life, the 6000 takes the top score in battery performance, which we attribute to the new chipset and its improved battery management/increased performance. In the battery life test, the 6000 runs about 5.5 hours, but we need to note that we are using the 9-cell battery, not the 6-cell. Oddly, it looks like both batteries are exactly the same size, but have different specs (the 6-cell just has empty filler cells). Either way, this is still a notebook that can operate for a reasonably long period of time away from its AC adapter. Charging time for this notebook took about 3 hours and 5 minutes from 0% to 100%.
