The remaining five members of the Radeon HD 2000 series being announced today are all mobile variants designed for various laptop and notebook form factors. Only four of the designs are derived from the R600 architecture though, the low-end HD 2300 is a DX 9.0c compliant part built at 90nm.

All of the main features and specifications of the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2300, 2400 and 2600 mobile GPUs are listed in the table above.  As you probably expect, the less powerful models are relegated to mainstream thin and light notebooks, while the more powerful units will find their way into performance thin and gaming enthusiast, DTR type notebooks.

As they've done in the past with each new mobile GPU, ATI has improved upon their PowerPlay technology to reduce GPU power consumption to prolong battery life. The latest version of PowerPlay at work in the Mobility Radeon HD 2400 and 2600 series feature 100% backbias voltage and new performance-on-demand functionality that disables unused portions of the GPU until they are needed to handle an actual workload.
