The 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ Just Might Be The Ultimate Customizable Nintendo Switch Controller
8BitDo is well-known for its retro-inspired controllers, adapters, and other accessories. The company has now released its most advanced controller yet. The 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ is a fully customizable controller with multiple profiles and settings.
The SN30 Pro+’s Ultimate Software allows users to fully customize their button mapping, trigger, sensitivity, and vibration. Users can also assign sequences and other actions to one button. Perhaps most interestingly, users can create and save different profiles for various games. Once you have saved your different profiles, you will not need to completely adjust your settings every time you switch games.
The SN30 Pro+ is reminiscent of Nintendo’s Switch Pro Controller, but it includes two side-by-side analog sticks. It is a full-size controller and is reportedly more ergonomic than 8BitDo’s original SN30 Pro controller. User will be able to pair the controller as an X-input or D-input device through Bluetooth or hook it up to a device with USB cable. The controller is intended to pair well with both modern and classic games. According to 8BitDo, “we paid extra attention to the most critical characteristics like the D-PAD, to make sure it feels exactly like you remember it.”
The controller is compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, Steam, Switch, Raspberry Pi devices. It is not compatible out of the box with other gaming consoles. Users will need to purchase other adapters if they would like to use the controller alongside devices like the Xbox One or Playstation 4. It is also important to note that compatibility with the Nintendo Switch does not include features like 6-axis motion control. Users will also need to purchase the 8Bitdo Smartphone Clip to use the controller with their smartphone.
