Google Home Mini And Pixel 2 XL Android Oreo Flagship Briefly Appear On Walmart.com
As we previously reported, the Google Home Mini is a downsized version of the Google Home. The "Mini" has all of the functionality of its bigger brother including full Google Assistant integration, but it looks more discrete and doesn't resemble an air freshener.
According to the product listing, which has since been taken down, the fabric-covered Google Home Mini measures just 4.53 x 4.53 x 4.72 inches, and it looks like it gets power via a microUSB port (that's probably disappointing for those that hope that Google would shift to a USB-C connector). According to Walmart, the device is priced at $49 and will ship on October 19th. For comparison, the Amazon Echo Dot is priced at $49.99.
Before the product listing was taken down, Walmart also highlighted a promotion in conjunction with Google Express, which knocks $25 off the price of the Google Home Mini. That promotion is good through January 15th.
As we mentioned earlier, there's also a single image that shows the front of the upcoming Pixel 2 XL. There's not much new here that we haven't seen in previous images, but it does give us a glimpse at Google's upcoming flagship in white.
Google is set to announced the Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Google Home Mini, and an updated Daydream View VR headset tomorrow (October 4th).
