Gamers and fans of Apex Legends aren't at all happy with EA and Respawn Entertainment right now. The pricing structure for the skins and other items in the Iron Crown event has angered players and heaped ire onto the developers of the game. Players are angry because it costs about 700 Apex coins to open a loot box for the chance to get the skin you want. That means if you pay until you unlock all the cosmetics, it would cost you $154 and then you have the chance to buy the heirloom set for another 3500 coins. Respawn has made a statement about the Iron Crown event where it promises to rotate the legendary items that are exclusive to the game into the store, so players can buy them directly... Read more...
Apex Legends's developers have been fighting cheaters almost as long as the game has been around. Developers for the game had banned about 770,000 Apex Legends cheaters as of May. Respawn devs have checked in with the gaming community over on Reddit and given some insight into what is going on in the game and its attempts to stop cheaters from ruining the game. One of the tactics that Apex Legends is using hilariously matches cheaters and spammers together. Apex Legends matchmaking now pairs detected cheaters and spammers together in matches. Respawn is investigating how people party up for matches noting that gamers not explicitly using a cheat, but partying up with cheaters, are still... Read more...
Although Star War Jedi: Fallen Order was first announced back at E3 2018, we're getting our first real in-depth look at the game thanks to footage that Electronic Arts delivered today at E3 2019. As we already,Jedi: Fallen Order was developed by Respawn -- the same development studio being Titanfall and Apex Legends. The single-play Star Wars adventure centers on Cal Kestis, which managed to escape Order 66 (as portrayed in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith) and is currently on the run from The Empire’s Second Sister and a band of Purge Troopers. The footage seen in the 14-minute gameplay trailer below takes place on the Wookie planet Kashyyyk, where Kestis... Read more...
Cheating is a big problem in many online games but is especially rampant in battle royale games like Apex Legends and Fortnite. EA is working very hard behind the scenes to improve Apex Legends, and part of the way it is working to improve is by catching and kicking cheaters off the game. Apex Legends dev Respawn has been working with EA Security and Fraud, the Origin teams, and developers at DICE, FIFA, and Capital Games along with Easy-Anti-Cheat to continue the cheater cleanup. The team notes that several updates have been rolled out already to stop cheats, but others will take time to implement. Respawn won't talk about all the things it is working on because it doesn't want cheat makers... Read more...

The wait for Titanfall 2 is almost over. It will arrive to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at the end of next month. In the meantime, if you're looking for a reason to splurge on a graphics card upgrade for your computer, NVIDIA posted a few minutes of awesome game play footage showing the title running at a 4K Ultra HD resolution at 60 frames per second on a Titan X. Not that you have to go out and buy a Titan X to play Titanfall 2 at a 4K resolution at 60 FPS. Developer Respawn Entertainment recommends a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, along with an Intel Core i7-6700K processor (or equivalent), 16GB of RAM, 45GB of storage space, and a 512Kbps Internet connection or better to achieve the same... So basically you'll need a big and burly graphics card (only the new Titan X is faster than the GeForce GTX 1080), a screaming... Read more...
PC and Xbox gamers have been anxiously awaiting the release of Titanfall since it was unveiled last June, and that wait has finally come to an end. Publisher Electronic Arts (EA) and developer Respawn Entertainment released Titanfall to retail stores across North America today, which is notable for a few reasons. The first is that it's an exclusive title to Xbox One consoles and Windows PCs, with a launch to Xbox 360 planned for March 25. This is one of those titles Microsoft hopes will help prop up and promote its Xbox One system, which currently trails Sony's PlayStation 4 in units shipped. Titanfall is also notable because it's strictly an online-only multiplayer game, which adds another exclusive... Read more...
