To be honest, after watching the Patriots loose tonight, I'm at a loss for words. I do have to clap for Miami though, since it's amazing they still have that kind of fight left in them with their record. You can't win them all I guess. DFI Lanparty 875-T LGA 775 Motherboard @ hardCOREware "Enter DFI's Lanparty 875-T. It takes the latest CPU socket platform and mates it to the mature 875P chipset. It won't win any Gigabit Ethernet races, but you just wait and see how it performs with the tighter timings of DDR memory, and killer overclocking ability." Danger Den TDX Waterblock Review @ OCModShop "Instead of using their traditional maze flow design Danger Den has made something completely... Read more...
I just received a ASUS A7N8X-X, and after looking around in the bios, it has some pretty decent features. After building a few systems using variants of the A7N8X, I've come to really like the brand. The NF7 series from ABit is also one of my top choices for Athlon XP systems. I'm going to miss the times I've spent working with Athlon XP systems, but once I get my Athlon 64, I'm sure all that will change :) AVerMedia AVerTV USB 2.0 Plus @ HEXUS.net "Almost everything about the device is easy to use and set-up, which generally speaking makes it a joy to use. My biggest concern prior to testing the device was that such a small component would struggle to provide a good quality picture and... Read more...
Good morning all :)  With my good friend, Mr. Coffee, not working this morning; I have to seek alternate means of getting caffeine into my blood stream.  Our friends over at ThinkGeek have a good selection of various goodies, but I think a quick stop at Starbucks is called for this morning.  Mmm, expensive coffee..... ;)  MSI DR16-B Dual Layer 16x DVD @ Viper Lair "In terms of performance, the MSI DR16-B provides ample speed for a Dual Layer drive. Performance is on par with the HP unit and is quite a bit quicker in DVD-R burning. All the DR16-B burns worked flawlessly, and if you can find them, 16x DVD writes is as fast as it gets."  OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Gold... Read more...

Good evening folks.  Awfully sorry for the long delay in news postage today.  We had a little miscommunication on coverage that left things unattended longer than we wanted.  Don't fret, however, we have some evening tidbits that should hold you over for a while. OCZ 1GB (2x512MB) PC4000EL Dual-Channel Kit Review @ EOC: "When it comes to choosing the right memory for your overclocking needs, you'd be hard pressed to find memory more highly recommended than OCZ Technology. In the short time since OCZ hit the memory market in August 2000 it has become the most sought after brand of high performance RAM products among computer enthusiasts. OCZ has always catered to the high-end... Read more...
Good evening friends, welcome back to HH :)  With some new products rolling into the Canadian portion of the labs, this News Jockey will surely be a busy for the next little while. However, just because I live a busy life doesn't mean that I don't like to kick back with a cold beverage and a good read.  Oh my, would you look at that, there just so happens to be a bottle of "cold beverage" right here... Oh, and look over there, some news.  I guess this is a sign that it is time for the HH nightcap... ;)  ATi Drivers & Linux @ HardOCP.com "ATI's Proprietary drivers are not Red Hat specific, they are currently packaged in RPMs for convenience for dominant market... Good morning friends, how was your weekend?  Things in my life have been extremely hectic over the past week or so.  Thankfully, it seems to be falling into place and my day-to-day schedule is reverting to somewhat sane hours.  Nonetheless, there is no better way to start the work week off then sitting down with a piping hot glass of juice...  OCZ DDR Booster Reviewed @ VR-Zone Hardware "The DDR Booster is an incredible device. Even at stock voltage of 2.9V, what I realized was when the DDR Booster was in the slot and running the DDR would overclock 2 FSB more than when it is not on the slot. This maybe OCZs patented PowerClean Technology at work. The PowerClean Technology... Read more...
Good evening friends, how was your day?  Over the past while I have been trying to convert my eating habits.  I had been consuming to much "bad" food and had not been feeling the greatest because of that.  So, to go along with this health kick, I have decided to invest into a new Mountain Bike.  I have not full decided on what I want to get, but it looks like it is going to cost me around the same price as cheap laptop.  I just don't think I can trust a hundred dollar bike to support my six foot, 200 pound body while blazing down a trail ;)  If you have any good suggestions for a bike, drop me a note. Anyhow, getting to the task at hand, here is some news...... Read more...
Good evening friends, welcome back to HotHardware :)  With today being Canada Day, yours truly has been out enjoying the gorgeous weather.  With a gentle breeze, sunny skies and an ample supply of BEvERages, the day has gone by quite nicely.  However, there is work to be done.  So, before it gets much later, let's see what I can dig up for you... OCZ PowerStream 470W Power Supply @ ClubOC "Its been quite the voltage competition in the last nine months at ClubOC. First we had a modified Enermax power supply for our AMD testbed, then we pitched a new offering from ThermalTake up against the Enermax and the Thermaltake won by a surprisingly good margin. Next up we had a... Read more...
Good afternoon friends, welcome back to Hot Hardware :)  Yesterday I received a chance to see a free screening of Shrek 2 at a new DLP cinema that recently opened.  I must say, besides the movie being outrageously funny, the presentation using DLP was amazing.  The difference in picture quality is like comparing a DVD to a VHS; definitely worth the extra cash (if you have to pay).  Anyhow, let's get to the real reason you are here.... OCZ PC3500EB Platinum DDR Memory Review @ PC Stats "When Intel introduced the i865PE/i875P chipsets over a year ago, the Pentium 4 overclocking changed, but many enthusiasts seem to have forgotten that the rules stayed the same.
