Plan A: 1. Buy or steal one copy of expensive software 2. Sign up for Google adwords 3. Sell a whole bunch of it 4. Buy yachts and mansions and antique cars and pretty much have a Nelly video party running at your house day and night. According to federal authorities, Peterson netted more than $5.4 million from the sale of $20 million worth of software. Ever wondered who the analysts quoted so often in news reports and articles are and what they do? Ars hunted down a couple of analysts to ask what makes them qualified to expound on technology-related issues, products, and news. "Analysts cover everything. They are quoted in stories about the PS3 launch date, the impending death of the iPod Shuffle, and the earnings of search behemoth Google, but reading quote after quote from faceless "analysts" does little to answer the burning question: who are these people, and what do they do all day? To find out, we had a chat with Jason Kraft and Chris Kwak, two research analysts from Susquehanna Financial... Read more...

The boredom would be horrendous... and you know, no news. Actually I have gone without the internet for extended periods of time, unfortunately my cable company didn't really give me a choice. Hey everyone! Plenty of reviews in tonight, and while I'm sure most of you are already in bed, there's still the special group of insomniacs that I owe a post to. Enjoy the news, goodnight all :). Fujitsu Lifebook N3511 Review @ Designtechnica "The new Fujitsu Lifebook N3511 takes a stab at the multimedia-centric notebook market by adding an integrated TV tuner and a remote control to its list of one-ups. While the N3511 may come with all the bells and whistles you would expect, it is still a heavy system especially when compared to its competitors. We also aren't sure that it's small 15.4-inch screen will entice media enthusiasts enough to jump into the Fujitsu camp." Canon PowerShot... Read more...

Releasing the shackles of Steam? Who knows, but I'm personally hoping it's something along the lines of an actual Multiplayer for HL2... CS:S is good and all, but I want to get some frags by shooting people in the face with a radiator using the gravity gun ;) Half Life 2 and CPU scaling @ amdzone "We are eager to test a wide range of MHz with game, and we decided to outfit our nForce 4 Ultra demo board with the fastest components for playing possible. That would be the Athlon 64 FX55, the ATI... Read more...
I'm back! That's right folks, my faithful internet has been down since Sunday, and because of that I had to sit and stare at my HL2 CD's as they collected dust. Oh well, at least this time wasn't as bad as when my internet was slower than Dial-Up for two months. Before I play HL2 though, I'm here to bring you fine people the news, so let's get started...
