Half Life 2 and CPU scaling, NVIDIA's SLI in action.

Heya folks! Well it's the start of a new week, and for those of you who are HL2 fans, Valve has mentioned there will be a surprise for the community released this week. CS:S updates? Team-Fortress 2? Releasing the shackles of Steam? Who knows, but I'm personally hoping it's something along the lines of an actual Multiplayer for HL2... CS:S is good and all, but I want to get some frags by shooting people in the face with a radiator using the gravity gun ;)

Half Life 2 and CPU scaling @ amdzone

"We are eager to test a wide range of MHz with game, and we decided to outfit our nForce 4 Ultra demo board with the fastest components for playing possible. That would be the Athlon 64 FX55, the ATI Radeon X800 XT, and 1GB of OCZ low latency DDR400 memory. Armed with that configuration we clocked the FX55 from 1GHz up to 2.7GHz in 100MHz increments."

NVIDIA's SLI in action at TR @ Tech Report

"NVIDIA's SLI tech is about as cool as it gets, and I wanted to see what happens when you pair up a couple of GeForce 6800 Ultra cards for a PC graphics solution nearly twice as powerful as anything else available. Not only that, I but I wanted to see how an SLI rig would compare to the latest cards from ATI and NVIDIA in today's biggest games—including Half-Life 2."

Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Speaker Review @ The Tech Zone

"The big difference between the Z-680 and Z-5500 is in bass performance. The new 10 inch subwoofer used by the Z-5500 is a lot more efficient and can play a lot lower than the 8 inch unit used in the Z-680. I had very little complaints about the Z-680 8 inch driver, but the 10 inch unit of the Z-5500 is downright incredible. When corner loaded, the Z-5500 subwoofer produced bass that was noticeably deeper at higher volumes."

SilenX Luxurae Fanless Power Supply Review @ AuphanOnline.com

"When it comes to Silent power supplies, SilenX's motto is "The World's Quietest Power Supplies!" A bold statement that we will put to the test with this review of their top of the line fanless model, the Luxurae 460W."
