Well, that was fast. Samsung only launched its latest generation Galaxy Watch 3 barely a month ago, and already it can be had for a deep discount. It is on sale for $365.30 on Amazon, which is 15 percent (or $64.69) below its regular $429.99 selling price. Typically it takes a longer time to see these kinds of markdowns on new products. There is a lot to like about the Galaxy Watch 3. It is the latest in Samsung's line of premium smartwatches, running on Tizen. This latest iteration boasts a slimmer rotating bezel (used for navigation), and is made with premium materials, like a stainless steel case. The version that is on sale is the 45mm model (Wi-Fi) in the 'Mystic Black' color option. Samsung... Read more...
While the stars of today’s Galaxy Unpacked event is no doubt the new Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (you can read our coverage here), Samsung has also announced a number of other products that complement its flagship phones. Although we haven’t heard a peep about the Galaxy Z Fold 2, the company has given us the scoop on the Galaxy Tab S7/S7+, Galaxy Watch 3, and the Galaxy Buds Live. There may not be many surprises when Samsung gets around to formally introducing its next-generation smartwatch. That is because and extensive hands-on video has purportedly leaked many of the pertinent details, including what sizes the Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in, as well as what it looks like from multiple angles. To start with, according to TechTalkTV on YouTube, it will indeed be called the Galaxy Watch 3. Samsung is apparently skipping the Galaxy Watch 2 branding, presumably to emphasize that is a higher end wearable than its existing Galaxy Watch Active 2. Going with the Galaxy Watch 3 branding would also avoid any potential confusion between the two smartwatches. Shown in the video... Read more...
Samsung has taken to Twitter to confirm the date for its Unpacked event that will undoubtedly bring new smartphones (and more) for fans to enjoy. The teaser event shows a copper-colored stylus with a bit of liquid dripping off the tip and splattering on a white surface. The only text reads "Power - a new form for a new norm. Unpacked on August 5, 2020." The tweet also carries the hashtag #SamsungEvent. As for what device Samsung may be teasing with the copper-color dripping off the stylus, if we had to bet we'd say it's the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra that leaked at the beginning of the month. The device that turned up in that leaked image, which can be seen above, has what appears to be the same exact... Read more...
Given that the Apple has a commanding lead in the wearables market with the Apple Watch -- along with a lot of mindshare with consumers -- it's often easy to forget that there are other competent players in this market. One of those players is Samsung, which has for years fielded Galaxy Watch devices with plenty of features and sleek looks. That tradition will extend to this year with the release of the Galaxy Watch 3. Official renders of the device have leaked from Evan Blass, and they show a very attractive device with Samsung's typical round display (as opposed to Apple's insistence on a squircle). The round display is more in keeping with traditional wrist watches, while still maintaining... Read more...
The next round of Galaxy Buds look like something Jack would trade the family cow for, in hopes that they contain magic abilities. They look like beans, is what we are saying. Bean-shaped earbuds were rumored to be the design Samsung would roll with, and it seems that will indeed be the case, according to an image asset lurking in the latest Galaxy Wearable application. Wireless earbuds have become hot ticket items by phone makers, particularly Apple and Samsung. Each one has their own unique design. As for what the next round will bring, the folks at XDA Developers dug through the latest version of the Galaxy Wearables app and found a black and white image asset for a bean-shaped design. This...
