Fortnite is a global battle royale phenomenon that has swallowed up gamers both young and old due to its accessibly for newbs and constantly evolving game mechanics. Epic Games switched things up with a new map and new adventures with Chapter 2, Season 1. Now the developer is looking to make another shift with Chapter 2, Season 2. Epic Games announced today that Season 2 will kick off on Thursday, February 20th. But even before the new season kicks off, another big change will take place early in February with the release of the 11.50 update. Fortnite Chapter 2 was recently released and featured several changes and surprises for longtime fans. Epic Games teased the new chapter with a few trailers, but several trade secrets were also revealed by a leaker. Epic Games has decided to sue the former employee that leaked information about Fortnite Chapter 2. Epic Games has filed a civil lawsuit against former employee Ronald Sykes with the District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Sykes was a “User Experience” tester and was able to play Fortnite Chapter 2 before it was released to the public. Fortnite fans have been enjoying Chapter 2 along with the new map and challenges that came with it. New challenges have landed, and one of them has players hiding out in spots around the map to jump out and kill your opponents. The ability to utilize hideouts is a new mechanic in Chapter 2, and Epic Games wants people to use it. For the challenge, all you have to do is slink out into the environment and find either a dumpster or a bale of hay and hide. To use one of the hideouts, all players need to do is find one, walk up to it, and then interact with it. Things have been rather strange in Fortnite as of late, with Season 10 ending in a bizarre black hole that kicked players out of the game for a long while. When the game finally came back, Fortnite Chapter 2 was born like the big bang, with a completely new map and of course the challenges continue. The first of the new challenges for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1, is to find the letter "F" as the first step in an ongoing challenge to collect all the letters needed to spell "Fortnite."
