Patriot EVLVR NVMe TB3 SSD: CrystalDiskMark Benchmarks

CrystalDiskMark is a synthetic benchmark that tests both sequential and random small and mid-sized file transfers using incompressible data. It provides a quick look at best and worst case scenarios with regard to SSD performance, best case being larger sequential transfers and worse case being small, random transfers.

CrystalDiskMark shows the Patriot EVLVR doing quite well with the sequential read and write tests. The 512K test shows the Patriot EVLVR gaining ground on the Samsung X5, finishing within 4% on writes and a bit wider at 22% on the reads. The low queue depth 4K tests show the EVLVR taking a bit of a beating, but things turn around as the queue depth is increased. For the 4K QD32 test the EVLVR led the pack by a decent margin, besting all other drives and almost doubling the performance we saw form the Samsung X5.
