We are using the standard benchmark settings from Bapco, along with a few other minor system tweaks. The screensaver was disabled and the volume was set at approximately 20%.
MobileMark 2002 utilizes the following applications:
- Microsoft Word 2002
- Microsoft Excel 2002
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2002
- Microsoft Outlook 2002
- Netscape Communicator 6.0
- McAfee VirusScan 5.13
- Adobe Photoshop 6.0.1
- Macromedia Flash 5
- WinZip 8.0

With the standard 6 cell battery, the ZE2000Z clocks in at 2 hours and 21 minutes. Note that the previously reviewed ZE2000 came in at just over 3 hours. This difference is primarily due to the increased power consumption of the AMD/ATI system versus Intel's Centrino platform. Remember, this is a fair comparison since they use the exact same battery pack.
Charge time for the batteries from 0% to 100% is as follows (real world numbers, not estimates):
- 6 cell primary - 2 hours and 7 minutes
