Next up, we’ve got some benchmark scores from FarCry New Dawn, the latest installment in the storied franchise. Like its predecessors, FarCry New Dawn is a fast-action shooter set in an open world environment with lush visuals and high graphics fidelity. The game takes place in a fictional county in Montana, where a cult has taken over control of the area. We tested all of the graphics cards here at multiple resolutions using Ultra Quality settings to see how they handled this recently-released AAA title.

The Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC outpaces the AMD reference design in the Far Cry New Dawn benchmark as well, and competes very well with the GeForce RTX 2070 Super as the resolution is increased.

Deep Learning Super Sampling, or DLSS, is one of the GeForce RTX series’ stand-out features. When employed, DLSS should offer image quality on par with or better than other anti-aliasing techniques, but with a much smaller performance hit.

The GeForce RTX family are the only cards that support DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), hence the Radeons are being tested solely with TAA here. In this NVIDIA-friendly title, we see the same trend we've seen through much of our testing, with the Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC landing right in between the AMD reference card and the higher-clocked PowerColor Red Devil.
