Worldbench 5.0 Tests

WorldBench 5 - Photoshop 7
3D Modeling & Rendering Tests

WorldBench 5 is a popular benchmarking tool, used to gauge a system's performance in a variety of tests. Though WorldBench 5 contains a total of 13 performance tests, we have decided to use only 3 which we feel our readers will be most interested in. Performance is determined by the number of seconds each tests takes to complete (lower is better).

The first WB benchmark is designed to tests the ability of a system to render various Photoshop 7 effects. The ASUS A8N Deluxe board takes a slight lead of the DFI LANPARTY, finishing the test 4 seconds faster. With each test taking around 6 minutes, we feel 4 seconds is a small difference, however.

WorldBench 5 - Microsoft Office XP
3D Modeling & Rendering Tests

Our Microsoft Office XP tests comes with a slightly different result. Here, the DFI LANPARTY board takes a slight 2 second lead over the ASUS A8N Deluxe, though as we mentioned with our previous tests, a difference of a few seconds is negligible.

WorldBench 5 - Windows Media Encoder 9
3D Modeling & Rendering Tests

Our ASUS A8N Deluxe again comes out slightly ahead in this tests, though only by 2 seconds. Our Worldbench test scores were so close in each tests, we feel either board would be a good choice if you're planning on doing any photo editing, office work, or media encoding.
