Dell XPS 730x H2C Intel Core i7 Gaming System

We pit the XPS 730x H2C against a couple of high-end and mainstream configurations as well as the original 730 configuration we reviewed and the Velocity Micro Edge Z55 Core i7 gaming system. We felt this variety helps gives some perspective on the XPS 730x H2C's performance. These same configurations were used for all of our non game-specific tests. The XPS 730x H2C performed extremely well in all of the Vantage tests. This was somewhat expected since our XPS 730x H2C review system has the most powerful processor of the bunch. What was a surprise is the size of the lead the XPS 730x was able to get over our reference systems; that factory overclock really does the trick. Note that in our review of the Velocity Micro Edge Z55 system, we had trouble getting it to complete the PCMark Vantage Memory test suite so the score has been ommited and it appears here as a '0'.
